In this issue, we bring you a few practical tips to make your mechanical design more convenient and efficient.
SOLIDWORKS - Solid Measurements
You can measure edges, faces, sketch bodies, and the shortest distances between components. Use Tools/Measure on the menu and select a pair of entities to measure.
SOLIDWORKS - 预览图片
You can view a preview image of the SOLIDWORKS model through Windows Explorer. The View-Preview Pane allows you to view a preview image of SOLIDWORKS.
SOLIDWORKS - 参考/等距实体
When you use each edge on a face, loop, or sketch outline to reference or isometric solids, it is easier to select the entire face, loop, or entire sketch than to select each entity individually.
SOLIDWORKS - 特征检验
If a feature or reconstruction fails, you can right-click on the icon in the FeatureManager design tree and select the "What's Wrong" command.
SOLIDWORKS - 只读操作
You can select the Read-Only option when the part is open to prevent writing operations to the part.
SOLIDWORKS - 虚拟交点
You can generate a sketch point at the virtual intersection of two solids. Hold down the Ctrl key to select the entity and select the toolbar icon for the sketch drawing point. To change the display of draw points, select the Tools/Document Properties/Virtual Intersection tab on the menu.
SOLIDWORKS - 位置移动
When you drag a feature, if you hold down the ALT key, the feature retains its positional dimensions and geometry so that the feature is only allowed to move in directions that are not controlled by the dimensions or geometry.
SOLIDWORKS - 打包压缩
You can use Pack and Go in the file to package all the parts under different files and different paths into one file or compressed package, and you can also select the completed drawings and some standard parts of the parts in addition to individual parts.
SOLIDWORKS - 文件备份
You can specify the directory where SOLIDWORKS holds your backup files. Please select Tools/Options/System Options/Backup on the menu and browse to that directory.
SOLIDWORKS - 弧线长度
You can select the arc and its two endpoints to mark the actual length of an arc.
