In order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, strengthen the friendship and ties between French schools in Asia-Pacific countries, and enhance the sports interaction between French school students in Shanghai, on the morning of May 13, the 9th French School Alliance Asia-Pacific Swimming Championship (CAPN) was held at the French School of Shanghai, where more than 250 swimmers from 12 French schools in the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia and Singapore, gathered together to compete fiercely in the five-day competition.
At the opening ceremony, the school orchestra from the French School of Shanghai played stirring Chinese, French and EU songs. The students gave a wonderful Olympic dance performance, adding a touch of color to the opening ceremony with innocent and energetic dancing. At the event, the leaders of the French School of Shanghai and the Consul General of France in Shanghai delivered speeches, encouraging everyone to give their best in the competition, and hoped that through this competition, the exchange and cooperation between French schools in the Asia-Pacific region will be strengthened.
The competition will be held in Qingpu and Yangpu campuses, and the competition will include backstroke, butterfly, medley, freestyle, breaststroke and other events, and the final ranking will be determined through preliminaries, semi-finals and finals. In the competition, the players of each team worked hard and showed a good competitive state and mental outlook. The spectators in the stands were enthusiastic, cheering and shouting one after another.
