The "IT Times" reporter learned that Intel's open pluggable standard (OPS) for commercial display devices has been developed for more than ten years, and has become an important standard for integrated display solutions widely accepted by the industry, greatly simplifying the integration, deployment and maintenance process of the system, and making content interaction more smooth and efficient.
In recent years, with the emergence of artificial intelligence and new video technologies, new application scenarios, AI technology, immersive experience, and 8K display in education, conference, medical and other related industries, as well as the continuous innovation of supporting products such as eDP large screens, OPS standards need to be upgraded to better adapt to the market.
"It can be said that OPS has become the cornerstone of teaching and has played an extremely important role. On the same day, the newly released OPS 2.0 supports Intel Core, Intel Core Ultra processors and Intel Arc series graphics cards, which can provide synchronous display, broadcast function, 8K high-definition display and other functions, bringing stronger AI computing power, higher display rate, shorter delay and better display effect, while retaining the basic advantages of the previous generation standard, it has significantly improved compatibility, functionality, scalability and reliability.
OPS 2.0 combines the previous OPS and OPS-C standards into one, supports the latest Intel Core Ultra processors, and adopts an optimized system design to support more powerful AI processing power. In addition, the upgraded OPS is equipped with more high-speed IO interfaces including HDMI2.1, the display resolution is upgraded to 8K, and eDP is supported, which can simplify the hardware structure, shorten the display and writing delay, and provide a more convenient and efficient data transmission and device connection solution, effectively improving the user experience and reducing the deployment cost, making it possible for the future IFPD (interactive flat panel display) with OPS as the core to carry more scenarios such as education, conferences, and telemedicine.
