Let the flower of mindfulness begin to bloom 1: Seeing is the beginning of healing

Right now, you and I meet.

You turn on your phone, you read these words, there's always a reason for you.

The Buddha said that this is the karmic meeting in the underworld.

We want to be better, we want to be more successful, we want a better life.

But have you noticed that when our minds are flooded with these thoughts, we have fallen into the trap of thinking.

When we look forward to the future, we are actually saying that our present is not good enough;

When we want to change ourselves, the subconscious expression is: I am not good enough now.

We desperately try to find all sorts of high-sounding reasons for our attempts to escape this unsatisfactory present, wrapped in colorful coats and labelled with dazzling labels, such as effort, such as struggle.

It is not that we do not need to work hard, do not need to struggle, but that we must know where the original intention and motivation of our efforts and struggles come from.

Is it to escape from the dissatisfied present, or to achieve their original intention and mission?

The direction is wrong, and the harder you work, the farther away you are from the original intention, essence, and truth.

We instinctively look for a place where we hope that when we get there, everything will be better, everything will be as we wish, we will be easier, happier, happier, more satisfied.

We are always obsessed with the past that has already happened and cannot change the outcome, or we are immersed in fantasies about a future that has not yet arrived and cannot be advanced.

Being lost in thinking is the real situation for most of us.

Lost

Success studies and chicken soup for the soul, certain religions or psychology, and numerous bad media outlets that attract traffic and eyeballs by selling anxiety can all become part of the illusion we create to escape from real life.

Through their subtle infiltration and influence, they make us believe that the real life is not here, but far away.

When we believe in these ideas and illusions, we are further and further away from real life and our true selves.

We are immersed in our own personal fantasies, assuming that we have fully understood ourselves, the nature and truth of all things, where we have come from and where we are going.

But in fact, we are only caught up in the illusions of others, society, the media, and ourselves.

Most of our thoughts, dreams, and impulses are about our past and future, about our desires and preferences.

All of this entangles and spins in our minds and makes us disoriented.

Also lost here, in the present.

When we lose ourselves, we naturally cannot tap and realize our full potential to create, learn and grow.

Therefore, not being able to live in the present moment is our biggest problem.

Present

Wherever you are, you are there.

Whatever you end up doing, what you end up doing is what you end up doing.

Whatever you're thinking right now, what you're thinking right now is what you're thinking.

Whether you like it or not, like it or not, all we can grasp is the present moment, the present moment.

The present is the only time we can survive, grow, feel, and transform.

Life unfolds only in moments, and if we cannot be with them wholeheartedly, we will miss out on the most precious things in life.

Grasping the present and living in the present moment is easy to say, but how much can it really be done?

Our hearts have been lost for too long, our wisdom has been blinded for too long, and we have become accustomed to self-deception, self-comfort, self-touching.

When you buy a book, you feel like you've got the knowledge in it.

After reading a book, I think I have received the wisdom of the author.

Knowing = doing, if you can't do it, it means you don't know, or not really know.

That's better than not knowing, because you know you don't know, you won't be self-righteous, you won't go astray.

The unity of knowledge and action is not just thinking in the heart and talking about it, but requires us to "grind in things and practice in things."

Similarly, to truly understand and practice living in the moment, we need to activate the power of mindfulness.

What is mindfulness and how can we use it to guide us to settle in the present moment?
