According to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, at 01:56 Beijing time on May 10, 2022, the Long March 7 Yaowu carrier rocket carrying the Tianzhou-4 cargo spacecraft was ignited and launched at the Wenchang Cosmodrome on the mainland, and about 10 minutes later, the spacecraft and the rocket were successfully separated and entered the predetermined orbit. Subsequently, the Tianzhou-4 cargo spacecraft will rendezvous and dock with the space station assembly operating in orbit.
This is the 22nd launch mission of the mainland manned spaceflight project, the first launch mission of the space station construction from the key technology verification stage to the orbit construction stage, and the 420th flight of the Long March series of carrier rockets.
