BYD Qin PLUS ranked second, with a cumulative wholesale sales of 70,985 vehicles, surpassing popular autonomous compact cars such as Geely Emgrand and Changan Yidong, and the lead was obvious.
Changan Yidong's cumulative sales of 50,801 vehicles ranked third; MG 5's cumulative wholesale sales of 44,298 vehicles ranked fourth, and its sales included sales to overseas markets. Geely Emgrand retreated to fifth place, with a cumulative wholesale sales of 42,162 vehicles in the first quarter.
BYD Han performed well, with a cumulative sales of 34,430 vehicles in the first quarter, ranking sixth, and even surpassing medium and large cars such as Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Audi A6L. Chery QQ Ice Cream ranked eighth, with a cumulative sales volume of 28,113 units in the first quarter, second only to Hongguang MINI in sales of mini cars.
Geely Xingrui has accumulated sales of 26,686 vehicles, ranking ninth, down from 35,795 vehicles in the same period last year. Changan BenBEN EV followed, with cumulative sales of 26,174 units in the first quarter, an increase of 147.1% year-on-year.
In addition, the cumulative sales of Roewe i5, Fengshen Yixuan family, Hongqi H5 and Chery Little Ant in the first quarter all exceeded 20,000 vehicles, with 25,766 vehicles, 24,096 vehicles, 22,675 vehicles and 21,387 vehicles respectively. Among them, Hongqi H5 is the champion of independent mid-size car sales, and its sales volume is basically the same as that of the same period last year.
The growth of domestic car sales in the first quarter of this year is mainly due to the rapid development of new energy car sales, in the top 20 independent brand cars, new energy models accounted for eleven, the total sales reached 387,400.
