You may remember
When we rehearsed the opera "Aida" in early 2015, we revealed to you that all the "vocal" parts of the opera - what is the opera listening to?
Like Aida, Jokonda is a veritable grand opera with beautiful choreography, beautiful steps, and of course, beautiful music.

Ponchieri wrote exciting arias, varied choral passages, and deeply moving melodies.
To perfectly show the composer's intentions, solo singers, orchestras and choirs need to work together.

As the opening opera of the National Centre for the Performing Arts in 2016, the Choir of the National Centre for the Performing Arts has been studying "Jokonda the Singer" since the end of November.
At that time, it was suitable for the performance of the musical "Beautiful Blue Danube" and the Hong Kong tour of "Beethoven's Ninth Symphony". The members of the troupe who stayed behind in the theater performed grassroots performances while rehearsing the music of the original opera "Fang Zhimin" of the National Centre for the Performing Arts. However, the various study groups of the choir have already begun to study "Jokonda the Singer". Vocal director Wang Lei set goals for the members of the group to conduct group learning at least one period of collective learning at each part of the day.

The winter in Beijing is cold and hazy, and it has entered the rehearsal of the original opera "Fang Zhimin", and the self-study of "Singer Qiao Kangda" has also entered the most difficult stage.
The chorus part of "Singer Jokonda" has many musical fugue paragraphs, dense lyrics, and is biased towards classicization and instrumentalization in the requirements of singing methods, and the musical styles are varied. This poses a big problem for multi-voice cooperation.
During the interval between the rehearsals of the "Fang Zhimin" drama, the choir members were led by the sound minister and the group leader to practice in the voice parts, and followed up the progress of everyone's reading score in pitch, rhythm and language, and strived to carefully consider every place.

Entering 2016, choral conductor Alfonso Caiani entered the rehearsal hall as scheduled. The members joked privately that the personable conductor looked like "Jobs."
Before the choral conductor joined the group, the members of the choir had basically completed the outline of the work after more than 3 weeks of independent study, and some paragraphs even had certain artistic standards. After a few days with "Jobs," he gave a thumbs up to the choir.

The "Singer Jokonda" music project assessment is to test whether all the choral actors of "Singer Jokonda" can meet the performance standards when entering the drama rehearsal, which is the summary of the entire music rehearsal stage.

"The Singer Joe Conda" entered the theater rehearsal. This is the second stage of the formation of an opera chorus.
"Drama rehearsal" refers to the need for stage theatrical performance of the opera after the musical rehearsal is completed, combining theatrical performance with the music to complete the script.
As an experienced opera director, Pierre Luigi Piz placed elaborate demands on the choir during rehearsals. The changes of the characters on the stage are many and fast, and the director puts forward perfect requirements for the expression and performance of the emotions when everyone performs.
At the same time as the theatrical rehearsals, the trials of the operas were also underway.
"Singer Jokonda" enters the week countdown to its premiere. Rehearsal enters the third stage - sitting and singing.
Under the leadership of conductor Daniel Oren, the choir was arranged in a row with an orchestra and soloists for the first time.

The battlefield moved from the rehearsal hall to the stage, the stage synthesis began, and the performance entered the final countdown.
From the simple simulated stage built in the rehearsal hall to the real performance stage, the choir members have to adapt to the reflection of the singing voice on the real stage, achieve the balance of sound with the orchestra, and change the stage lighting. At the same time, you can quickly adapt to wearing heavy costumes in a short period of time and quickly shuttle through the changing stage scenes.
