Cerreli Phalaenopsis orchid is a medium to large phalaenopsis orchid, the leaves are dark green, oblong oval, the leaf back is red or brown, and the leaf surface has obvious silver spots or irregular patterns, so it is also known as tabby phalaenopsis orchid. The flowers are pink, with fine spots at the base of the lateral sepal flap at the lower edge of the midrib, iris-shaped lip flap, white lateral lobes, and brown spots on the upper border of the base. The flowering properties are excellent, the conical inflorescence is 30-60 cm long, most individuals will emit fragrance a few days after the flowers are fully opened, and natively grow on the high trees of the lowland rainforest below 450 m above sea level.

The species nickname of the Cereli phalaenopsis orchid is in honor of Mr. Consul Schiller, counselor and orchid collector in Hamburg, Germany. He exported 30 Celeli Phalaenopsis orchids through m.porte in Manila in 1858 and introduced Cerree Phalaenopsis orchids to Europe in 1859. Mr. schiller was also the first person to successfully preserve the first Cereli phalaenopsis orchid in Europe, which first flowered in Europe in March 1860 and was published by Professor Heinrich G. Reichenbach in the same year, and Since then Taiwan has introduced Cerella Phalaenopsis orchids and cultivated them in large quantities.
