I have been dealing with this factory for nearly twenty years, printing many line-bound books in this factory, and it is for this reason that my familiarity with Mr. Zhang exceeds that of other ancient book printing factories. Now that he has come to his turf, he will not hesitate to cause him trouble. Unfortunately, he was not in Hangzhou for the date I had set, but he said he would arrange for his son Zhang Peng to take me on a visit.

But Wang Jianguo told me that in the past, people did not pay so much attention to his ancestor Wang Huizu because he was not famous enough in society. Since the study of the master has become lively, it has prompted the descendants of the Wang clan in this village to be proud of having this ancestor.

Because his family was too poor, he could only borrow books from others to copy, but many people did not wait for him to finish copying and wanted to go back, such a mood can be imagined. Later, he became an aide to the official family, and was able to look through the books in his house from his master. Later, because of the examiner, he came to Beijing and bought a copy of the Book of Han at Liulichang. Liulichang was the largest book market in China at that time, and Wang Huizu, who loved books so much, only bought one book here, which shows how shy he was.
But later he passed the jinshi examination: "And cheng jinshi, yi kuo yu, more abundant, the ancestors' will be completed in succession, the museum is in the middle of the house, and the book practitioners have been practicing for seven or eight years, gathering dozens of hundreds of books." For his own book purchase, Wang Huizu said in the preface: "Yuyin is decaying, the family has no spare funds, and it can no longer gather books." Although the books gathered, the class of the book is always seen, there is no pillow secret, but he has devoted his life to this area. If it is not easy to gain, then it is not lost. Descendants of the world shall not give to others, and shall not be fake, that is, if they encounter close friends and noble officials, they shall not violate this precept of mine and give them private leave. Du Renren filial piety, flawless, unique copy of the history, left in the family school. If you cannot examine the writings, you do not have to go upstairs to open your eyes, resulting in losses. ”
Wang Huizu sighed and said that he was too old to go out to make money as an official, so he could only sort out his own collection. And there are no rare books in his collection, but even so, he also has the psychology of self-cherishing. He instructed his sons not to give away his books or lend them, not even to his relatives and close friends. If it is not a special situation, it is generally not possible to go upstairs and pick up the book. This passage of his is likely to be modeled on the last instructions left by Fan Qing, the master of Tianyi Pavilion, to his descendants. Wei Pei, the trenches are naïve and weak, and they have to rely on Manager Yu, and many men are tired, and they cannot swim for Xiangping Wuyue. ”

Wang Huizu said that although his family's ancestors left more than a dozen acres of land, because they often lacked money, these lands were pawned to others many times. When he himself became a master, he would redeem the land with the money he earned, and at the same time add seventy acres of land. In his later years, Wang Huizu distributed the land he had bought so hard, and apart from leaving some indiscriminate ones, the five sons each received only a few acres. This was really not a propertied class in that era. Therefore, I saw such a large area on the original site of his former residence, and in terms of this industry, Wang Huizu should also be one of the richest households in Dayi Village during the Qianlong period.
