Leo Hermans is a Belgian diamond cutter with great skill. His selection of pigeons is as demanding as the perfection of his diamond work. Over the past few years, Leo Hormans' name has been renowned for its annual loft success. The base pigeon of Leo's loft is Olympic 03 (b01-6455003), winner of a 2nd Nat. Ace Pigeon Speed in Kbdb, Belgium. This super racing pigeon came from Gust Jensen. Gust Jensen is based in a region with many famous lofts in the world of pigeons.
Such as Hoffman, Jensen Brothers, Mulliman, Van Long and so on. Because the division is so strong, you can imagine how fierce the competition will be. Gust Jensen was a low-key man who did not like to advertise, and his fame was limited to his division. But Leo Hermans had the foresight to introduce Gust Jensen's "Dream Team", thus achieving his own glory.

Leo Hermans and Ayakap father and son
At the 2005 National Pigeon Show, the Ayakap father and son met Leo heremans for the first time, on the recommendation of willem de bruyn, an old friend of the Ayakap father and son. Then in the winter of 2005 Hans-Ayakap decided to visit the Hermanns loft, accompanied by the loft managers Gerhard Burswild, Peter Schweiss and Henk Julian. During a visit to the pigeons in Hermanns, the Ayakap team was quickly shocked by the quality of the pigeons in the loft and decided to book 50 young birds for 2006. 50 young birds were assigned directly to the various lofts in Ayakap, the Netherlands.
In the summer of 2006, 30 young birds were transferred directly to the breeding loft. In the 2006 season, these young birds performed well, so the team Ayakap was once again recognized in the race. Also in 2007, Herrmans had an outstanding performance, winning two first prizes against several thousand pigeons.
