So where is the focus of the protection of the ecological environment of Jiangyou Wetland?
There are currently two wetland parks in Jiangyou. Among them, Jiangyou MingyueDao Park is located at the confluence of Changming River and Fujiang River in Jiangyou City, with a green area of 470 mu and a water area of 1500 mu. It is not only a good place for the general public to travel, relax and exercise, but also a home for many migratory birds such as red-billed gulls, gray cranes, and mandarin ducks to winter.
Sichuan Jiangyou Rangshuihe National Wetland Park is located in the Rangshui River Basin, and was officially approved by the state in December 2016 to become a national ecological brand of Jiangyou. The park is rich in animal resources, with a total of 178 species of vertebrates. There are 6 species of national second-class protected species, including 1 species of fish as cochineal, 1 species of amphibians as giant salamander, and 4 species of birds as grey crane, mandarin duck, common eagle and crested eagle. There are four species of endemic fish in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, namely the high-body near-red carp, the short-bodied paraquat, the Sichuan sucker loach, and the heavy-mouth split-bellied fish. There are two species of protected fish in Sichuan Province, namely the heavy-mouthed split-bellied fish and the ctenophore goby. In addition, there are more than 20 species of provincial key protected animals, rare and endemic fish in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, endemic birds and amphibians in China, and 1 species of alien species is the Brazilian red-eared turtle.

01 Public welfare + law enforcement, joint protection
In order to give play to the positive interaction advantages of the procuratorial public interest supervision power and the administrative law enforcement power, increase the protection of wildlife resources in wetland parks within the jurisdiction. Recently, the Jiangyou Municipal Procuratorate, together with the Jiangyou Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Natural Resources Bureau, the Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau, the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau and other five departments, jointly signed and formulated the "Opinions on The Joint Supervision, Management and Protection of Wildlife Resources in Wetland Parks" (hereinafter referred to as the "Opinions"), forming an effective synergy for the protection of wild animals in wetland parks in Jiangyou.
The "Opinions" regard wild animals in wetland parks as the key priority protection of ecological environmental protection work, and all departments perform their duties and cooperate closely, in accordance with the principles of supervision according to law and territorial management, jointly crack down on illegal activities that damage wildlife resources in wetland park areas, resolutely curb poaching, illegal wildlife trade, fishing during fishing bans and other acts that damage the natural ecological environment, and further strengthen the effective supervision and protection of wild animals in wetland parks by regulatory departments.
02 Collective wisdom + collective efforts, supervision according to law
Strengthen basic cooperation mechanisms and infrastructure construction. All departments shall establish an information sharing mechanism and a system of regular joint meetings to exchange information and link up mutual assistance to form a joint force for effective supervision and protection.
Increase publicity and daily patrols. The Management Committee of the Wetland Park uses loudspeakers, newsstands, billboards, and display screens in the park to vigorously publicize laws and regulations related to wildlife protection and typical cases of public interest litigation by procuratorial organs. At the same time, strengthen the staff for many periods of time, irregular patrols, once found to have illegal acts, timely notification and transfer to the relevant departments for handling.
Strengthen wildlife rescue. Jiangyou Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and other departments have established a wildlife protection volunteer association, actively mobilized social forces, and invited volunteers to join in and participate in wildlife protection work. At the same time, the organization set up a wildlife rescue station in Jiangyou City to find injured wild animals and actively carry out rescue work to ensure that injured wild animals receive timely and effective rescue.
Increase the intensity of market supervision and crime-related crackdowns. The Market Supervision and Administration Bureau should increase the intensity of supervision and strictly prohibit catering units within its jurisdiction from storing wild animals and their products prohibited by the state in processing and business premises. Public security organs and procuratorial organs should do a good job of cracking, arresting, prosecuting, and other work in wildlife-related criminal cases, and severely crack down on all kinds of illegal and criminal acts that undermine wildlife protection.
Increase the intensity of public interest litigation efforts. When each administrative unit investigates and handles all kinds of illegal or criminal cases related to the protection of wild animals, it shall promptly notify the procuratorial organs of the relevant circumstances. Procuratorial organs give full play to their procuratorial functions, promptly collect and fix relevant evidence, actively initiate public interest litigation, and contribute procuratorial strength to the effective protection of wildlife and ecological resources and the environment.
