On the evening of November 23, the 32nd Golden Rooster Awards of Chinese Film was held in Xiamen. The best supporting actress went to Wu Yufang, who played Liang Meizhi in "Send Me to Qingyun". Her lover is two-time World Table Tennis Championships men's singles champion Table Tennis star Jiang Jialiang. The 56-year-old Wu Yufang can be called the laughing stock in "Send Me to Qingyun", in fact, as early as 1984, she won the Best Actress Award at the 8th "Popular Film" Hundred Flowers Awards for starring in the movie "Life".
Wu Yufang and Jiang Jialiang married in the 1980s, and later she left the film and television circle to return to her family and had two beautiful daughters. After the two daughters grew up, Wu Yufang began to make a comeback filming, and in 2009, she starred in the TV series "Snail House", which was impressive. In the 2019 movie "Send Me to Qingyun", she played "Liang Meizhi" (Yao Chen's mother) and also participated in "Crane And Huating".
The 55-year-old Jiang Jialiang was once the face and strength of the Chinese table tennis scene, and won the world championship at the age of 19. He won the Men's Singles World Table Tennis Championships twice in 1985 and 1987, including a 3–1 victory over Waldner in the 1987 final. At the 1988 Seoul Olympics, Jiang Jialiang lost to Sweden's Linde in the quarterfinals and ultimately missed the semifinals. In the 1989 World Table Tennis Championships, the Chinese men's team lost to Sweden, and Jiang Jialiang lost to Waldner and Apelen respectively, and then retired.
Jiang later coached in Malaysia and Singapore, returned to his hometown of Guangdong in 1994, and then settled in Shanghai, where he opened his own table tennis school. In recent years, Jiang Jialiang has often promoted table tennis activities with Person and others. In the first T2 Diamond Competition in 2017, Jiang Jialiang once led the team as a captain, and the style of practicing ball did not diminish in the same year. This year, Jiang Jialiang also participated in golf activities with Waldner, Persen, Zhang Lianwei and others, and also staged table tennis exhibition matches on the spot.
After retiring, Jiang Jialiang has little contact with his teammates on the national team, and now that he has been retired for 30 years, he is more of a promoter. At that time, he was a combination of appearance, strength and achievements, and now although thirty years have passed, the hairline is not only carrying, but also the figure can play, which is also a clear stream of national table tennis.
Nowadays, the exposure of men's table tennis is very high, Zhang Jike, Ma Long and other main forces have their own fan groups, and even have formed a fan economy, some fans can cross thousands of mountains and rivers to chase stars, which is not possible in Jiang Jialiang's era. In a 2017 interview in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, Mr. Jiang said the athletes were catching up with the best of times. Because the media coverage at that time was very limited, the name Jiang Jialiang was slightly unfamiliar to many young fans today.
