Wang Huai'an, formerly known as Wang Yulin, is of Han ethnicity and was born in December 1915 in Zigong City, Sichuan Province. In 1935, he was admitted to the law department of Sichuan University and joined the Communist Party of China in August 1938. He once served as a member of the Party Group and Vice President of the Supreme People's Court, and an advisor to the Supreme People At 13:25 on May 23, 2015, Wang Huai'an died in Beijing at the age of 100 due to ineffective medical treatment.
Hu Haitao (October 21, 1923 – October 31, 1998), a native of Zigong City, Sichuan Province, was an expert in engineering geology and environmental geology, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a researcher and honorary director of the Institute of Environmental Geology of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources. In 1946, Hu Haitao graduated from the Central University and then stayed on to teach; in 1950, he served as the leader of the Liaohe Engineering Geology Team of the General Bureau of Mineral Exploration of the Steering Committee of the China Geological Work Plan; in 1955, he became the deputy chief of the Engineering Geology Section of the Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology Bureau of the Ministry of Geology; in 1956 he entered the Danjiangkou Engineering Geology Team of the Ministry of Geology; in 1960 he entered the Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology of the Ministry of Geology; and in 1966 he served as the director and researcher of the Research Office of the Institute of Geomechanics of the Ministry of Geology In 1986, he served as a researcher at the Environmental Geology Center of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources; in 1988, he served as the honorary director of the Institute of Environmental Geology of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources; in 1994, he was elected as the first batch of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; and he died on October 31, 1998.
Lu Deming (June 9, 1905 – September 23, 1927), also known as Jixiong, Zi Bangding, was a native of Zigong, Sichuan, and a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1925, he was appointed commander of the Fourth Independent Regiment of the National Revolutionary Army, the commander of the second battalion and the fourth company. Lu Deming was promoted to battalion commander of the Second Battalion during the Northern Expedition in 1926 and concurrently served as chief of staff of the Seventy-third Regiment of the Twenty-fifth Division of the Fourth Army. In 1927, Lu Deming served as the commander-in-chief of the Autumn Harvest Uprising, and died heroically to cover the breakthrough of the troops. In order to commemorate Lu Deming, Luxi County, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province, built the Lu Deming Martyrs' Revolutionary Cemetery. In 2009, Lu Deming was named one of the 100 heroic and exemplary figures who made outstanding contributions to the founding of New China.
Deng Ping (1908-1935), male, Han ethnicity, from Fushun County, Sichuan Province (now Zigong City). Deng Ping was a famous general of the Red Army and the only legion-level general who died in the Long March of the Red Army. Born in 1908 in Fushun, Sichuan, Deng Ping was admitted to the Wuhan Central Military and Political School at the end of 1926, where he joined the Communist Youth League of China and soon transferred to the Communist Party of China. On July 22, 1928, together with Peng Dehuai and Teng Daiyuan, he launched an armed uprising in Pingjiang, Hunan Province, and participated in the first to fifth anti-"encirclement and suppression" campaigns in the Central Soviet Region. Deng Ping was the most senior military general to die during the Long March of the Red Army. On September 14, 2009, he was named one of the 100 heroic models who made outstanding contributions to the founding of New China.
Wu Yuzhang (December 30, 1878 – December 12, 1966), formerly known as Yongshan, was a native of Rongxian County, Sichuan Province; He served as president of Chinese Renmin University in 1950 when it was officially named and established, and until his death in 1966, he made indelible contributions to the birth and development of Renmin University. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Wu Yuzhang served as president of Chinese Min University and dean of the Central Socialist College, serving as a member of the Central People's Government, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, a director of the Chinese Character Reform Committee, a member of the Philosophy and Social Science Department of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the chairman of the China Education Trade Union.
Liu Guangdi (1859 – September 28, 1898), courtesy name Pei Estate, was a Han Chinese politician from Zhao Hua Town, Fushun County, Zigong City, Sichuan Province, a politician of the Reform School, an important figure during the Penghu Reform Period, one of the Six Gentlemen of Wushu, and a famous patriotic poet of the Late Qing Restoration. In the ninth year of Guangxu (1883), the eighty-eighth jinshi of the second class of the Zhongdian Weike Temple examination was appointed as the alternate chief of the Punishment Department. During his tenure as a Beijing official, although he lived in poverty, he was honest and self-disciplined and spotless. Dedicated and diligent, good political achievements. Studying behind closed doors, not the magnates. Although he has a good official reputation and is not hindered by promotion, he often worries about himself when he sees the difficulties of the country, so that he lacks sleep and food. Thinking about the strategy of saving the country and saving the people is not to reform the maladministration, but to promote new learning and implement new policies. On September 5, 1898, Guangxu issued an edict rewarding him with the rank of Four Pinqing of Tan Sitong, Yang Rui, and Lin Xu, and walked on the military plane Zhang Jing to participate in the New Deal. Jiang Zhujun (August 20, 1920 – November 14, 1949), a native of Jiangjiawan, Dashanpu Town, Zigong City, Sichuan Province, was an important figure in the Chongqing area during the underground period of the Communist Party of China, and a female martyr posthumously recognized by the Communist Party of China. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1939. In 1940, he was appointed as a member of the Chongqing New Urban District Committee. In 1945, he married Peng Yongwu and after his marriage, he was responsible for the organization and distribution of the underground publication of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, "Zhenjin Bao". In 1948, Peng Yongwu was killed in battle as a member of the Provisional Committee of the Communist Party of China in Eastern Sichuan and deputy secretary of the Eastern Prefectural Committee of Xiachuan, and Jiang Zhujun took over his work. On June 14, 1948, Jiang Zhujun was arrested in Wanxian County, and was imprisoned in the Nationalist Government Military Commander's Zha di Dong concentration camp in Chongqing, where he was tortured and refused to surrender the CCP's underground party information wanted by the military command; on November 14, 1949, Jiang Zhujun died heroically at the Lanya Execution Ground of Geleshan Radio at the age of 29.
Qiu Yong, male, born on July 28, 1964 in Rongxian County, Sichuan, is an expert in organic optoelectronic materials, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a professor, deputy secretary of the party committee and president of Tsinghua University. In 1983, Qiu Yong was admitted to Tsinghua University and successively obtained bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees; after graduating with a doctorate in 1994, he stayed on to work in tsinghua university; in 2002, he became the director of the department of chemistry of Tsinghua University; in 2003, he was funded by the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Young People; in 2006, he was selected as a distinguished professor of the "Yangtze River Scholar Award Program" of the Ministry of Education; in 2008, he served as the vice dean of the School of Science of Tsinghua University; in 2009, he served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Tsinghua University; and in 2013 he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences In 2014, he served as the executive deputy secretary and vice president of the party committee of Tsinghua University, and in 2015, he served as the president of Tsinghua University. Qiu Yong has long been committed to the research of organic optoelectronic materials and devices, and the research focus includes organic semiconductor materials, basic theories of organic electronics, organic luminescent display materials and devices.
Li Zongwu (February 3, 1879 – September 28, 1943), originally known as Shi Quan, later renamed Shi Kai, was a native of Ziliujing, Fushun, Sichuan (Ziliujing District, Zigong City, Sichuan). Modern and contemporary Chinese thinker, educator, revolutionary, best-selling author. His writings include philosophy, sociology, psychology, pedagogy, and even physics and economics. In 1912, he was shocked by the strange book "Thick Black Studies", and called himself the "Thick Black Sect Leader", known as "one of the 20 wizards and strange masters who influenced China in the 20th century".
Wang Fangding, born on December 21, 1928 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, is a nuclear chemist, a member (academician) of the Faculty of Chinese Academy of Sciences, a researcher and doctoral supervisor of the Chinese Academy of Atomic Energy Sciences. Wang Fangding was responsible for the development of China's first atomic bomb detonation neutron source; participated in the creation of radiochemical diagnostic methods for nuclear tests, which were used in practice many times, such as the diagnostic method of fission combustion consumption; and carried out research on the chemical state and spontaneous fission charge distribution of polyvalent fission products in the 1980s.
