The youngest mayor of Zhejiang's districted city may be "refreshed" again.
On the evening of October 18, the Organization Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee issued a pre-appointment announcement of 15 provincial management leading cadres who intend to be promoted and appointed. Among them, Hong Hupeng, who was born in September 1977, is currently a member of the Standing Committee of the Jiaxing Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Jiashan County CPC Committee, and intends to nominate himself as a candidate for mayor of a districted city, or will become the youngest mayor of the 11 districted cities.

Hong Hupeng is a native of Wenling, Zhejiang, with a postgraduate degree, who started his career in July 2001 and successively served as deputy director of the Information Management Department of the Provincial Information Industry Department, deputy director of the Economic Operation Department (Transportation, Posts and Telecommunications Department) of the Provincial Economic and Information Commission (presiding over the work), director-level cadre of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Cooperation and Exchange Office of the Provincial Economic and Information Commission, member of the Standing Committee of the Luqiao District Committee of Taizhou City, deputy district chief (suspended post), director of the Industrial Development Coordination Department of the Provincial Economic and Information Technology Commission, vice mayor of Jiaxing City, member of the party group of the municipal government, and since December 2019, he has been a member of the Standing Committee of the Jiaxing Municipal Party Committee and the secretary of the Jiashan County Party Committee.
