Among them, cocoa bean elephant and Chinese radish Xiao Yejia were intercepted for the first time at the Hebei port.

Cocoa bean elephant can not only harm field legumes, but also endanger stored beans, and is listed in the "List of Quarantine Pests of Imported Plants in China" in Asia together with chickpea elephants and four-striped bean elephants, and is an important quarantine pest. Chinese radix xiao leaf beetle belongs to the coleoptera family, the diet is complex, mainly eating the goose velvet vine, ground melon, finches of the family Radix, tea flowers of the oleander family, asteraceae of the legume family, sweet potatoes of the spinosa family, etc., adult insects eat leaves, larvae eat roots, and the harm is more serious.

Since the beginning of this year, the Huanghua Port Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has intercepted 35 species of foreign pests, including 5 kinds of quarantine pests. In order to control the entry of foreign pests from the source, the Huanghua Port Inspection and Quarantine Bureau will continue to strengthen the quarantine inspection of imported goods and means of transport to ensure the biosecurity of the country.
