Jí refers to birds of the order Finches. Because some Chinese character library does not have this Chinese character, it is replaced by a near-shaped 鵖 (bī), which is a tongkan character for 䳭.
The authoritative works of Chinese birds, "Zoology of China" and "List of World Bird Classification and Distribution", both write about the birds as (jí) birds. Therefore, the black-throated stone, the black-throated stone, and the black-throated stone are all the same kind of bird, and the correct way to write it: black-throated stone.
In addition, there is another point to note, the black-throated stone lynx has several aliases, one of which is called the black-throated plover, and there are videos on the Internet that introduce the black-throated plover as an endangered species, which is not right.
The black-throated stone steak was selected into the world's list of protected animals, marked as non-endangered; it was also selected into China's national "three lists".
In order to figure out the problem, I also checked the information, and there is a bird species called the black-throated singing plover, which is listed as an endangered species in the world and is a rare bird in the past hundred years. In recent years, there have been records of breeding in Qinling, Liupanshan, Chengdu and other places in China.
So, don't confuse the black-throated plover with the black-throated singing plover.
Okay, back to the point, tell me the story of my shooting of the Black-throated Stone.
In late May 2016, I received a WeChat message from a friend in the village of my bird base, informing me that I had found a nest of small birds on a fruit tree, and I did not see the appearance of the big birds, and I also sent a photo of the bird's nest.
Seeing the four young birds and one bird egg in the photo, through the beak shape of the young bird, it should be a finch, goldfinch, wax-billed finch, copper-billed finch, etc., I have not photographed the brooding bird species, and I was very excited. Because the young birds have not yet grown their hairs and cannot stand up to eat food, at this time, the shot of the chicks eating food cannot be photographed in the distance, and they can wait for a few days to shoot again.
After arranging work, I set off three days later, picked up my friends in the village, and went straight to the ravine in the orchard. (The yellow circle is a fruit tree with a bird's nest, which should be a plum tree)
Park the car in the ditch, 30 meters away from the tree of the bird's nest, on a small slope at the foot of the mountain, standing on the upper slope of the tree can see the nest, this look is black, as if there is nothing, hurry to the nest, tiptoeing with the mobile phone to take a picture, indeed nothing, and moved again.
In the years when I was shooting birds, I encountered many bird moves, and at first I didn't believe it, thinking it was man-made, and then I encountered several moves that proved to have nothing to do with people. (Find time to talk about bird moving later)
It is said that bird lovers will not have bad luck! Just as we were driving out of the ditch in frustration, we inadvertently turned our heads to see a bird with a bug outside the car landing on a small tree. This is the rhythm of feeding back to the nest!
Slowly brake, stop, push R gear, slowly reverse the car, at the same time, through the window glass to stare at the bird, only to see the insect bird quickly fly to the small tree two meters away from the dry branches, and then quickly burrowed into the grass on the edge, and then came out and flew away after a few seconds. Park the car five or six meters diagonally opposite the bird's nest, (as long as you don't get off the car with the car door, you won't startle the bird) Slowly lower the car window, set up the camera and start shooting. (Below the yellow arrow is the bird's nest)
Taking advantage of the gap between the parent birds leaving, I went to the nest to check and found that the hay on the nest was covered very tightly, and the hay had to be removed a little to photograph the chicks. However, considering that it was already four or five o'clock in the afternoon, it would not take long to shoot before it was dark, so I decided to stay at a friend's house for one night and continue shooting the next day.
