About the founders
There is an old man who lives abroad, his life is only sitting at the computer, and time is only the number of rotations on the clock for him. At that time, his younger brother's family was also living in Amherst, Massachusetts, and his younger brother had to play on the city's public courts almost every day.
This obsessive hobby, which was almost crazy, infected him one day, and then he also played a game of football, and as a result, this walking movement of holding a few clubs and sweating constantly chasing a small white ball immediately fascinated him and began his crazy life of going down almost every day.
Although the game has not grown much, but play 18 holes every day, in the Cherry Hill public course every day up and down in the wind and sun walking tens of thousands of steps of sports, life is rejuvenated, he is the founder of the Golf Heritage Museum Xing Wenjun.
He later bought an early 20th-century walnut club at the flea market, opening his way to collecting. I then met golf collector Herbert, whose interest in golf grew out of his years of service at ball and club makers.
After visiting Herbert's home for the first time, Xing Wenjun had an idea: if he was fortunate enough to get his collection, he would open a golf collection museum in China, which would be a once-in-a-lifetime historical opportunity for the rising sport of golf in China and the promotion of the historical and cultural inheritance of modern golf in China!
Herbert was in poor health and sold the collection to Xing Wenjun on his deathbed. After three years of preparation, China's first modern golf heritage museum was officially completed and opened to the public in August 2016, when golf returned to the Olympic Games, at No. 28 Dongshan Road, Weihai City. The museum is a non-profit institution and is open to industry insiders by appointment for free.
Purpose of the Chinese Golf Collection Association
In 2016, Xing Wenjun and a few friends in Beijing initiated the establishment of the Chinese Golf Collection Association on Liugong Island in Weihai, and held China's first walnut antique pole experience tournament at the 9-hole golf course established in 1901 on the island.
1. Promote the historical and cultural inheritance, collection, learning, sharing and dissemination of golf;
