Charles Abdouch, CTO of Simply NUC, said: "Whether it's industrial computing, digital signage, or edge data collection and analysis, we see an opportunity to build fanless mini PCs with the latest AMD Ryzen™ Embedded V2000 processors. With the addition of Cypress Porcoolpine, we can now provide customers with long-life mini PCs to meet their various embedded application needs."
One of the Cypress Porcoolpine SKU (LLM2V5CYF) is now open for order acceptance (shipping within 48 hours), and interested customers can purchase a model based on amD Ryzen™ V2516 processors for $789 (about $5048).
With mainstream performance specifications, the machine can be used to create digital kiosks, deploy smart vending machines, or update existing PC terminals in enterprises. Other higher-performance configurations of the Cypress Porcoolpine SKU are expected to arrive in early 2022.
It is reported that AMD has integrated a new generation of Radeon nuclear display of 1.6 GHz for this series of embedded processors, which can achieve 1.3 times the rendering speed to enhance visual immersion.
In addition, SimplyNUC equips Cypress Porcoolpine with a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet connection, which can drive four 4K displays via dual HDMI 2.1 and dual USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports (DisplayPort 1.4 compatible).
If required, the manufacturer also offers flexible UI port configuration options that support extended USB 3.0, Ethernet, and audio connectivity to optimize the device needs of specific applications.
In terms of security, Cypress Porcoolpine protects against threats with built-in hardware-level enhanced security features with amD's security processor.
By securely storing credentials and other confidential data, trusted networks also enable remote management of unattended digital kiosks/smart vending machines.
Finally, the Cypress Porcoolpine has been validated for 24/7 operation, complemented by an operating temperature range of 0-40 °C, ensuring that the complete solution is built to last.
