When I was in high school, I read a story about a girl who studied English, married a rich husband, and then became a full-time wife. A few years later, the husband got along with someone else, and the girl divorced her husband. When I tried to go out and look for a job, I found that my English had long since deteriorated and could not be used.
I don't know why I remember this story so fondly. Maybe I was also interested in English at the time? Maybe I was telling myself at the time:
