On October 25, the first meeting of the Sixth Committee of the Hetang District of Zhuzhou City of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference opened with the solemn sound of the national anthem. The meeting should have 156 members, 7 people on leave for reasons, and 149 actual members, which is in line with the provisions of the "CPPCC Charter."

In view of public safety, air pollution prevention and control, black and odorous water remediation, food and drug safety supervision, and other issues of concern to the masses, 50 democratic supervisors were appointed to relevant units, and through holding forums, on-site inspections, overt inspections, and secret visits, more than 200 opinions and suggestions reflected by the grass-roots masses were collected and issued democratic supervision proposals to the supervision units, which effectively promoted the implementation of the work and continuously enhanced the effectiveness of democratic supervision. The special committees and working groups of various sectors of the CPPCC carried out investigations and studies on a number of topics such as industrial chain construction, key project construction, enterprise services, new format e-commerce and logistics development, and village collective economic development, and formed 64 research reports. Through the CPPCC cloud platform, the implementation of remote consultation, micro-suggestions and other new models of "Internet +", boosted the micro-construction and micro-services of party committees and government departments, collected a total of 261 social conditions and public opinions, submitted 297 micro-suggestions, and timely transferred them to relevant departments for handling, promoting communication, understanding and service in all aspects of society. Zhang Sulong, member of the CPPCC leading group and vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, made a report on the proposal work of the Standing Committee of the Fifth Committee of hetang District of Zhuzhou City. In the past five years, a total of 551 proposals have been submitted, and 385 cases have been examined and filed, with a case filing rate of 69.9 percent; 75 cases have been transferred to social conditions and public opinions, 52 cases have been transferred to higher-level committee members for reference, and 39 letters and visits have been transferred. The response rate, completion rate and satisfaction rate of proposals are all 100%.

Fang Jing, secretary of the district party committee, demanded that we strengthen our ideals and convictions and be practitioners of stressing politics.
