When you first hear "Flying Dragon", you will probably think of what kind of legend this is! After all, the prestige of the "Five Immortals" in the Northeast is "like thunder" with the adaptation of novels and movies, but the animal called "Flying Dragon" mentioned today is not a big immortal, and even belongs to the more miserable ones in the northeast.
It is a kind of flying bird called the flower-tailed hazel chicken, and it is a bit too cool to call it a "flying dragon", but it is actually a kind of mountain treasure that was almost eaten extinct by northeasterners.
When you think of the appearance of "flying dragon", it must be very handsome and mysterious things, no wonder! After all, the younger generation of northeasterners may not have seen the "flying dragon", because it was precious and difficult to meet, whether it was before or now.
But when you look at it, you will find that he seems to be a pheasant, and there seems to be nothing associated with the dragon except for the long and some characteristics.
So why is a pheasant called a "flying dragon"?
There are two main reasons: the first is because of its appearance, its neck bone is long and curved, like a keel, and there are scales on the claws, which is very much in line with the legendary dragon claws, the most important thing is that in the dense forest, one of its branches in the tree flies to another branch, for people who suddenly see it, it must be a divine thing, plus the people in the forest area believe in mountain animals, mistakenly think that it is a dragon with wings, therefore, think that it is a "dragon", after all, in some ways everyone prefers to see Xiangrui rather than a bad thing.
The second is because of its meat quality, there is a sentence I believe that everyone has more or less heard of called "heavenly dragon meat, underground donkey meat", this dragon meat generally refers to the "flying dragon meat", its flesh is snow white and delicate, delicious taste, is a rare delicacy in the world, and in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, it was also used as a tribute, tribute to the emperor as a delicacy, from this we can see how delicious its flesh is.
"Flying dragon" in Manchu called "Feiye Lenggu", meaning the chicken on the tree, enough to see that it is really like a chicken, although it is perched on the tree, but it is not good at flying, it continues to fly for twenty or thirty meters, but after landing on the ground, it runs fast, and the color of its feathers and trees are too similar, therefore, it is not easy to catch, only experienced hunters can find them.
They are very timid and inhabit the depths of the silent forest, so it takes a lot of effort to see them in the mountains, and legend has it that when they meet them in winter, they will be afraid to plunge half of their bodies into the snow.
They mainly eat the young shoots, fruits and seeds of plants, especially like to eat hazelnuts, so it is called hazelnuts, it is said that people in the past will also look for ginseng according to the traces of "flying dragons", saying that they also like to eat ginseng seeds.
However, it is also because of its advantages, but also led to a sharp decline in its number, "flying dragon" was previously the most extensive and most common in the middle branch of the grouse family, but due to man-made development, its habitat is shrinking day by day, some places have been extinct for many years, and coupled with wanton hunting, resulting in the current wild "flying dragon" has been extremely rare. It has been listed as a national second-class protected animal in 1989.
In order to satisfy their own appetite, people almost ate the "flying dragon" to extinction, and they can't help but reflect on it, do they really wait until all species disappear, and only humans themselves understand that they have done wrong?
Therefore, although the "dragon meat" in the sky is delicious, if it is really eaten, what will the future country be like? I hope that the "flying dragons" will always be in the sky, and the forest will be beautiful because of them!
