On December 8, the third expert review meeting on the registration of geographical indications of agricultural products in 2020 organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs was held in Beijing, and the "Qionglai Wenjun Tea" defense team led by the relevant person in charge of the Qionglai Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau participated in the review meeting. After the expert pre-evaluation, the defense team's presentation and report, the challenge defense, and the collegial vote, the expert group unanimously agreed that "Qionglai Wenjun Tea" has high regional characteristics, highlights unique quality, meets the requirements for the registration of geographical indications of agricultural products, and is allowed to pass the expert review.
In the next step, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will publicize the landmark products that have passed the expert review nationwide, and after no objection, "Qionglai Wenjun Tea" will officially become a national agricultural product geographical indication protection product.

Previously, the responsible persons of the Qionglai Municipal Agriculture and Rural Bureau and the Qionglai City Qiongxin Bee Industry Association participated in the second expert review meeting on the registration of geographical indications of agricultural products organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in Beijing in 2020, and the "Qionglai Middle Honey" declared by the Qionglai Municipal People's Government finally passed the review of the national geographical indications of agricultural products after a statement report and on-site defense, and passed the public announcement on November 14, 2020.
"Qionglai Honey" is mainly based on hundreds of flowers nectar, loquat honey and Schizandra honey, with unique quality characteristics, superior production environment, distinctive honey source characteristics, suitable climatic conditions, specific production methods, and long cultural history. The approval of the registration review and publicity of the geographical indications of agricultural products in "Qionglai Honey" has laid a solid foundation for the next step of "Qionglai Honey" to obtain the registration and protection of geographical indications of agricultural products, further enhance brand awareness, reputation and market competitiveness, increase the income of bee farmers, and boost the industrial development and rural revitalization of our city.
