Medical Warmth Border Pass to Withstand Winter Cold -- The Air Force Special Medical Center serves officers and soldiers in remote and difficult areas with warm services

In recent months, the Air Force Special Medical Center has drawn up scientific research and medical service teams to cross the Tianshan Mountains, go up the plateau, and enter the desert, lock in the health needs of the troops and the urgent needs of medicine, engage in scientific research, donate equipment, and send them for diagnosis and treatment, thus solving a large number of health problems that have long plagued officers and men in remote and difficult areas.

Just need to focus on the bullseye of combat effectiveness

In the psychological training room of a certain air force base, Song Huamiao, an expert in aviation psychology, exchanged views with the pilots for a morning, and the notebook was densely filled with more than 20 pages.

The day before, when Song Huamiao retrieved and analyzed the psychological database of this base, he was somewhat unsure of some psychological samples of "air combat." 32 years of experience in aviation psychology research told him that these sample data were crucial to the "Psychological Qualities of Pilots in Combat" research project being carried out by the center.

Interacting face-to-face with the pilot to reproduce the psychological image in major exercises and air combat confrontations and realize the local empathy with the pilot at that time was the "trick" for Song Huamiao and his team to effectively collect information and inspire research ideas.

For more than 10 years, they and this base have relied on various confrontation exercises to create and improve the "Chinese Air Force Pilot Combat Psychological Information Database". More than a month ago, they joined hands to set up a "Joint Research Base on the Psychological Quality of Pilots in Combat", laying a solid psychological foundation for the Chinese Air Force to spread its wings and fly high.

In plateau rotation training, many officers and soldiers suffer from low-quality sleep caused by lack of oxygen. More than two months ago, Gao He, a 65-year-old sleep expert, led a scientific research and medical service team into the plateau to carry out clinical research and diagnosis and treatment services. In order to feel the real sleeping environment of the officers and men of the plateau, they lived in the dormitories and wards of the health team, fought in the cold and oxygen-deficient environment for more than a month, monitored the sleep of thousands of officers and soldiers, and some suggestions to improve the quality of sleep were welcomed by the officers and men.

Scientific research and service combat effectiveness is one of the main businesses of the Air Force Characteristic Medical Center. In recent years, they have targeted and reduced the training wounds of airborne troops and a series of major issues that are just needed by the troops, concentrated on tackling key problems, and achieved fruitful results.

The "star" experts sent warmth to the hearts of officers and soldiers

Xu Ming, a warrior who arrived from more than 60 kilometers away, looked expectantly at Mao Gaoping, a digestive expert. Recently, Xu Ming has been suffering from abdominal pain, and the resident hospital has been diagnosed with pancreatitis, and he has taken a lot of medicine but has not seen good.

Based on the results of the previous day's laboratory tests and ultrasound B, Mao Gaoping judged that Xu Ming was suffering from irritable bowel syndrome. This disease tends to occur at the turn of the seasons, when the task is heavy and the environment is harsh.

During the three days of the military camp,63-year-old Mao Gaoping prescribed medicine for Xu Ming and his comrades-in-arms to get rid of the pain.

Like Mao Gaoping, Zhang Bangshi, a 74-year-old imaging expert in the medical service team, Wu Ji, a 58-year-old orthopedic expert, and Xu Hua, a 62-year-old pediatric expert, are all "star" experts familiar to grass-roots officers and soldiers.

Before entering the winter, Ji Baomin, director of the center, led the team to visit Tibet for the 8th time. Despite the lack of oxygen, the hardships of life, and the tense itinerary of the plateau, several old experts have adhered to the "battle position" of diagnosis and treatment throughout the whole process, going up mount Gambara and climbing mount Sedira, and rushing to wherever they need to ensure that officers and men on the plateau can spend the winter healthily.

In recent years, this center has insisted on giving play to the leading role of famous and veteran experts and creating a "star" service team that is proud of serving officers and soldiers. They went down to the grass-roots level and approached the officers and men, and became the most popular task force for the officers and men at the grass-roots level.

Good steel must be used on the blade

Bai Chaoyu, a young cadre, did not expect that the CT examination that originally required to be done at the resident hospital hundreds of kilometers away could now be realized in the camp.

During Bai Chaoyu's physical examination in the first half of the year, ultrasound B showed that there was a mass lesion in the liver, suspected of hemangioma. Because of the long distance and busy training, he has not had time to review. Through the CT machine that had just settled in the hospital of his army, he was diagnosed with a benign hemangioma, which had not yet affected liver function.

At present, the latest domestically produced spiral CT machine was purchased by this center according to the needs of grass-roots officers and soldiers. Along with them, there are high-definition electronic gastrointestinal scopes, non-contact intraocular pressure meters, tumor marker detectors, fetal heart rate monitors, etc., a total of 11 sets, with a total value of 3.71 million yuan of advanced inspection and diagnosis and treatment instruments.

With the blessing of these advanced instruments, the hardware level of Bai Chaoyu's military hospital has reached the standard of a second-level hospital.

Yang Kejian, political commissar of the center, said that they have always been concerned about the health of officers and men at the grass-roots level; in recent years, they have donated dozens of sets of advanced medical instruments and equipment to the remote and arduous troops, and developed a large number of special self-made medicines that effectively alleviate training injuries and altitude sickness, such as tongshi chinese medicine packs, anti-altitude disease capsules and punches, and anti-allergy and anti-itch series creams, and regularly sent them to remote and difficult areas in batches, becoming a daily necessity for the prevention and treatment of health care for officers and men at the grass-roots level.

In addition, the Air Force Special Medical Center also took the initiative to sign a personnel training agreement and a cooperative hospital construction agreement with the remote hardship troops, and successively accepted nearly 200 grass-roots military doctors and nurses to Beijing for further training, becoming a "permanent" grass-roots scientific research and medical service team.
