Ming Dynasty Pingyi Wei Erlepu traces

The Kangxi Pingyi County Chronicle mentions Erlepu several times, some as tuncang, some as shops, and some as pingyi acropolis. Its location is in the east fifty miles of the county, and there are also seventy miles in the west of the county. Now some people think that Öre paved the East Fort in Zhong'an Street, and some people think that it is Enle in the town of Dahe. Opinions vary, but they lack convincing evidence. Therefore, it is also necessary for us to understand the history of Fuyuan accurately. So, where exactly is Örepp?

1. Örepu shall be Eletun Fort. Forts are different from shops. The second volume of Zhengde's "Yunnan Chronicle" says: "There are stations in Yunnan and there are no deliveries, so replace them with forts, and if there are stations, there will be deliveries." The lord of the fort delivers, leads a hundred households, and does his duty in the world, and serves as a sergeant, and serves in the world." The fort is located in the post (there is no need to have a fort), and the station is filled with non-commissioned officers, and the task of the fort is to defend and transport. The Minghui Dian (明会典) "驿傳" article says that "the water horse station and the delivery station are known outside, so that the official personnel can travel between them." If there is a heavy military situation, it will be given a test, and all the water horses and horses under the heavens and the transportation station will be assigned to the envoys, the military information will be reported, and the military supplies will be transferred." At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, Yunnan once set up a delivery station, which was abandoned. The post fort plays the role of a transportation station, with the task of reporting military information and falling under the jurisdiction of the guard. The shop is under the jurisdiction of the prefecture and county, and the shop soldier can be a non-commissioned officer or a civilian household. Zhengde's "Yunnan Chronicle" records that "the Yunnan shop is roughly different from Jiangnan and Zhongzhou." Jiangnan and Zhongzhou shop soldiers are rotated and replaced once a year. Yunnan may be a civilian household, or a non-commissioned officer from the beginning of the country, a clubhouse to live and cultivate, and future generations of soldiers." According to Zhengde's Yunnan Chronicle, Pingyiwei had two forts: Baishui Station Fort (in Pingyi Wei Duoluoyi) and Erletun Fort, eighty miles northeast of Fucheng (not recorded in the county chronicle). Therefore, Örepu should be Eletun Fort.

2. Erletun Fort was located in Baishuiyi (now Baishui Town, Zhanyi District). The Qujing Guards had many remote roads, while there were many post forts in Zhanyi Prefecture, and the service was heavy. In order to share the service of Zhanyi Prefecture, Qu Jingwei built Dingnan Fort in Baishui Station in Zhanyi Prefecture and undertook the task of delivery. The fort was originally erected in Hongwuzhong, then reformed and restored. In the seventh year of orthodoxy (1442 AD), Yi Hai, "Restored Tonbao, Qujing, Yunnan." It was forted in Hongwuzhong and later reformed. As for The Soldier Shangshu Wang Ji and others said, "Pingyi Wei Baishui Fort went to Qujing and Liaoyuan, and the land was barren, it was advisable to restore Dingnan Fort and allocate troops to guard it, 'from it'. According to Zhengde's "Yunnan Chronicle", Dingnan Fort is eighty miles northeast of Fucheng, and Erletun Fort is also eighty miles northeast of Fucheng, so Erletun Fort is also located in Baishuiyi. This is consistent with the "Kangxi PingYi County Chronicle" recorded in "Erlepu, seventy miles west of the county, on qujing avenue".

In the second year of Zhengde (1507 AD), the right post of Qujing Wei was transferred to Pingyi Wei, and the delivery task undertaken by his Dingnan Fort was logically responsible for Pingyi Wei's Erletun Fort. In the twelfth year of Hongzhi (1499 AD), in September 1499, Li Shao, who was a former rightist in Yunnan, was quite aware of local customs, and said four things: "One is that the Wei army of Qujing in Yunnan has many roads and seclusion, and pingyi wei is the key to Guizhou, and the army is less complicated, please take the Pingyi near Qujing Weituntian, and allocate two of them to belong to it." The Kangxi Pingyi County Chronicle records that "in the second year of Emperor Wuzong Zhengde (1507 AD), the right place of Jing Wei was the right place of Pingyi Wei, and the left place of Wei Yuanbu was the left place." Therefore, from the second year of Zhengde, Erletun Fort began to undertake the task of delivery and report military information.

3. Pingyi Wei was stationed in Tuntian of Erletun Fort, and the latter of Erletun Fort was the Tuncang of Pingyi Wei, which is roughly consistent with the records of the county chronicle. Hongwu Twenty-three Years Peng Shen, "The upper Yunnan column places soldiers, and pingyi is especially when the north and south are rushing, and all sides are barbarian tribes, and they will be guarded by the town of Wei Tuntian." He ordered the founding duke Chang to ascend to Chenyang, gather 5,000 people from the people, and send the right army to oversee Wang Cheng and Qianhu Luchun, and all of them went to Pingyi to set up guards." At this time, the Pingyi Acropolis had not yet been built, and Baishui was close to Pingyi, the terrain was open, the land was fertile, and for the important place, Pingyi Wei built Tun Fort in Baishui Erle to defend, Tuntian was self-sufficient, and at the same time built the Pingyi Acropolis. In the first year of Jianwen (1399 AD), the construction of the acropolis was completed, Pingyiwei was moved to the Acropolis (present-day Old Castle Hill), and Eletun Fort became the Tuncang of Pingyiwei. According to the Wanli "Yunnan Tongzhi Record", Pingyiwei had three tuncangs: Luomu, Erle, and Qujing, all arranged along the post road to facilitate transit. The guards sergeant usually tun tian, and the police officers enter the fort to distribute grain and grass.

In summary, Ölpu should be Eletun Fort. Before the Pingyi Acropolis was built, Pingyi Wei defended the fort Tuntian in Baishui Erle. After Pingyiwei moved to the Acropolis, Erletun Fort became the Tuncang of Pingyiwei. In the second year of Zhengde (1507 AD), in addition to being a tun warehouse, Erle Tun Fort began to undertake the task of delivery and report military information.
