During his coaching career, Jackson coached the Bulls and Lakers in 1,640 games with a record of 1,155 wins and 485 losses, or 70.4 percent; in 1996, he was named Coach of the Year and led the team to 11 NBA championships (1991-1993, 1996-1998, 2000-2002, 2009, 2010).
