On the morning of October 26, the Volunteer Oath Ceremony of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of Capital Universities and the 100-day Ice and Snow Carnival of the Countdown to the Winter Olympics for The Capital Youth were held at Beijing Sport University.

The event was co-sponsored by the Beijing Youth League Municipal Committee and the Municipal Committee of Education, and through online and offline linkage, volunteer representatives from 66 capital universities covering Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou announced: Beijing is ready!

In the view of Xia Linmao, head of the Human Resources and Volunteer Working Group of the Beijing Municipal Operation Support Headquarters for the 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, holding an oath-taking meeting on the occasion of the 100-day countdown is a remobilization and redeployment of volunteer work, and also marks the key stage of the Winter Olympic volunteers entering a comprehensive decisive battle.

Xia Linmao said that the volunteer service of Beijing's major activities has never been absent from the capital's youth, especially young students. As an important home diplomatic event, volunteers will and will inevitably become the window for the world to understand China.

At present, 14,000 volunteers from the capital's universities have been selected, and some volunteers have been put into the service guarantee of the "Meet in Beijing" test competition. They stand in front of the stage or behind the scenes, greeted by the send-off or silently on duty.

Wang Peixian, who participated in the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party in Tiananmen Square, is now a member of the campus propaganda team of Beijing University of Technology, and has traveled through dozens of communities to preach the knowledge of the Winter Olympic Games to residents, driving more people to experience ice and snow projects and participate in the Winter Olympics. At the scene of the event on the 26th, the first Beijing University Ice Hockey Competition, Curling Experience, Winter Olympic Lecture Hall, Ice and Snow Knowledge Contest and so on were also held.

Xia Linmao said that the volunteer service of the Winter Olympic Games is during the Spring Festival, homesickness, cold weather, high-intensity work, heavy academic pressure and new models of running the competition in the two places and three divisions are all difficulties that volunteers will face, and the relevant departments are successively formulating various service guarantee measures to create a warm and safe working and living environment for volunteers.
