Shijiazhuang, 1 Dec (Xinhua) -- On 1 December, the 2nd China Qinhuangdao Film Week for people with disabilities came to a successful conclusion at the Qinhuangdao City Cultural Square.

At the closing ceremony, the most popular male and female protagonists of the audience, the most popular feature films and other awards were announced in turn. Guo Jiaming and Zhong Xiaodan won the most popular male and female protagonists of the audience with "There is a Home" and "Mother's Tears" respectively; "Fingertip World" won the most popular feature film of the audience; "There is a Home" won the special commendation of the jury.

Zhou Jiandong, vice chairman of the China Film Producers Association, said that the overall well-off should not only have material abundance, but also have the dignity of life. Caring for people with disabilities is an important symbol of the progress of social civilization. The Second China Qinhuangdao Film Week for the Disabled uses excellent film works as the medium to attract domestic filmmakers and industry insiders to gather in Qinhuangdao to exchange film creations for the disabled, display outstanding film works across the country, and talk about the topic of "film assistance for the disabled and cultural well-off", which has built a useful platform for promoting the healthy development of China's film industry and promoting the cause of caring for the disabled.

It is reported that this year's film week, with the theme of "hand in hand with people with disabilities, sharing a blue sky", is guided by the China Film Producers Association, the Propaganda Department of the Qinhuangdao Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Youth Film Work Department of the China Film Producers Association, the Qinhuangdao Disabled Persons' Federation, the Qinhuangdao City Seaport District Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the People's Government of the Qinhuangdao Seaport District. During the film week, more than 10 outstanding disability theme films such as "Have a Home", "Fingertip World" and "Half Moon" were released in major theaters, schools, communities and rural areas in Qinhuangdao City, providing an audiovisual feast full of humanistic care for the general public.
