Yesterday (16) evening, the "Yearbook" Shanghai University Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts Jewelry Studio teachers and students of the annual works exhibition opened. The location was chosen in a small bungalow on Wukang Road.
The participating designers are all from this studio, including graduate students, current students and so on. Some of them have opened their own studios and some have created their own jewelry brands. In the view of Guo Xin, head of the jewelry major at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, this is not only a "reunion" of teachers and students, but also a spark collision on the concept of art.
Art connects fireworks to daily life, so that ordinary people can also "understand"
When curating, this exhibition of works has specially opened up two major areas: academic exhibition and commercial exhibition. The trade fair is located on the first floor, and everyone can look up and feel close. The academic exhibition is set up on the second floor, the location is slightly hidden, and the "understanding" of the industry will come straight to it.
For an art to maintain its vitality, full communication and interaction between industry, education and research is indispensable. The same is true of jewelry art. In the special commercial exhibition area on the first floor, the curators selected a number of grounded works, presenting jewelry that people can "understand".
From life is higher than life. This phrase can refer to literature and can be applied to art. Artistic aesthetics should have new development and new breakthroughs, not only to draw nutrients from life, but also to fully interact with the current market and industry.
Retain the "academic booth" and condense and improve the ability of artistic thinking
While connecting with the market, the artistic concept must also continue to be adhered to. The exhibition venue was selected in the "golden place" of the city and was open to the general audience. However, even so, Guo Xin still has his own insistence - to retain academic exhibitions. "While it may be a bit difficult for the average audience, it's especially critical to improving students' creative thinking skills."
Art design often stems from the artist's display of a situation or state of mind for his or her life experience. In the creation of jewelry works of art, many designers pay special attention to the "beauty of fluidity". Through the malleability and plasticity of different materials, the lines are interlaced and interspersed, and there is a unique way of artistic expression.
The reporter learned that the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts of Shanghai University (Wusong Campus) of Shanghai University, which is under construction, plans to build many studios. In the future, these studios will not only become a practice base for teachers and students, but also be expected to connect with the surrounding residential areas and become "aesthetic education schools" for the public.
At the opening event of the exhibition, the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts of Shanghai University also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai Dingtie Culture Media, and the two sides jointly established an industry-university-research base to jointly build a platform for promoting contemporary outstanding jewelry designers and promote the academic development of contemporary jewelry.
