Zhang Yi
Zhang Yi (1894-1981), character wing three. Zodiac Sign: Horse. A native of Luoshan County, Henan Province.
From 1908 onwards, he successively entered the Kaifeng Army Primary School, the Nanjing Army No. 3 Middle School, the Beijing Qinghe Army First Preparatory School and the Baoding Army Officer School No. 6.
In 1919, he was sent by the Beiyang government to the Japanese Army Non-Commissioned Officer School to study.

In May 1949, he led the ministry in the Wuhan Uprising. He successively served as the first commander of the 51st Army of the Fourth Field Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (Political Commissar Yang Chunfu), a member of the Central And Southern Military and Political Committee, a deputy commander of the Hubei Military Region (1950-1953), the director of the Ethnic Sports Form Committee of the Sports Committee of the State Council (1954), the vice governor of Henan Province (1956-1958), the vice chairman of the Fourth Committee of Henan Province of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the member of the First, Second and Fifth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and a deputy to the First National People's Congress.
In 1955, he was awarded the Order of Liberation, First Class.
