According to Taiwan's "Central News Agency" reported on the 22nd, New Zealand found oriental fruit fly larvae in a batch of mangoes and lychees shipped from Taiwan to New Zealand, so the country's government ordered a suspension of the entry of Taiwan mangoes and lychees.

The report quoted new Zealand National Radio (RNZ) on the 22nd news that the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industry confirmed that on the 18th, a batch of Taiwanese mangoes and lychees arrived in the country appeared in the larvae, and the next day, the larvae were confirmed as oriental fruit fly larvae. New Zealand has found imported fruits with Oriental Fruit Fly parasitism in the past, but has never found oriental fruit fly in the territory.
The report also mentioned that the New Zealand government has suspended the entry of Taiwanese mangoes and lychees. As for the mangoes and lychees that have arrived at the New Zealand border from Taiwan, the shipper can choose to destroy them or ship them back to Taiwan.
It has been reported that the oriental fruit fly native to Asia lays eggs and hatches larvae in the fruit, causing the fruit to rot and scrap.
