Fenwick House is a modernist architectural heritage from the 40s of the 20th century. The redevelopment has created a balance between landscape and architecture with extensive use of glass and modern finishes, resulting in a warm haven in Melbourne's undulating terrain of Kew, Melbourne.
Fenwick House is a merger of two residences designed by Edition Office and Flack Studio, with an aesthetic that blends landscape, architecture, interior design, and interior decoration. Simone Haag has injected a unique aesthetic interest into the home in terms of interior decoration, combining the surroundings and the client's personality to create a home that can accommodate a family of seven through furniture, lamps, artwork, textiles and decorations.
Spread over four floors (two above ground and two underground), the Fenwick House is exquisitely decorated with bright colours, a series of sculptural furnishings, and a collection of artworks that subtly echo nature through colour, composition and materials, with a slightly eclectic temperament, yet complemented by an elegant, welcoming interior.
Fenwick House has a large-scale interior with clean and noble tones predominant, and each small space is decorated with distinctive furniture and objects, enriching the integrated experience of the home, harmonizing architecture, interior design and landscape with the necessities that make up life.
