Last year, the mainland stepped up efforts to recruit Taiwanese teachers in Fujian vocational schools, and at the same time relaxed the qualifications for "double-teacher" teachers, raising the standards for recognizing cross-strait vocational qualifications. Interviewed by the reporter of "Eastern New Media ETtoday", Mr. Zhang introduced that the "double teacher" has both teacher qualifications, as well as enterprise and vocational qualifications, and in the past it was stipulated that a doctoral degree must be required to teach, but now Taiwanese people have a university degree, and they can go to technical and vocational schools to teach with Taiwan licenses in exchange for mainland licenses, and the policy recruits outstanding Taiwanese teachers to teach in vocational colleges in Fujian Province and share professional and practical experience.

Last year, the mainland issued the "Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Supporting Fujian to Explore a New Road for Cross-Strait Integrated Development and Build a Cross-Strait Integrated Development Demonstration Zone" (hereinafter referred to as the "Opinions"), and the mainland is optimistic that Taiwan's higher vocational education started early, has a complete system, and is relatively mature in the concept and mode of running schools, which is worth learning from. Therefore, the new policy increases the recruitment of Taiwanese teachers in Fujian vocational schools, further expands the scope of direct recognition of Taiwanese vocational qualifications, encourages Fujian and Taiwan teachers to participate in the recognition of "double-teacher" teachers in vocational education in Fujian Province, and implements primary, intermediate and senior "double-teacher" teachers according to the different abilities of teachers.

After the policy was introduced, Mr. Zhang from Taiwan also began to be asked by friends, what is the "double teacher type"? Looking back seven years ago, Mr. Zhang, who graduated from the Department of Forestry of Chung Hsing University in Taiwan, went west alone to teach at Fuzhou Agriculture and Forestry University, witnessing the upgrading and changes of the mainland's policy towards Taiwan teachers along the way.

In an interview with the reporter of "ETtoday", Mr. Zhang first introduced what is the "double-teacher type"? In the early days, the mainland encouraged Taiwanese teachers or experts to teach in technical and vocational schools, but the relevant policies were not detailed enough.

Mr. Zhang explained that the "dual-teacher type" mainly recruits relevant professional or technical talents from Taiwan. At present, the basic requirements for teaching in Fujian are that the academic qualifications must be doctoral graduates, or even Peking University, Tsinghua University, Xiamen University, Fuzhou University, Normal University, Agricultural University and other famous universities in order to become a university teacher. The "dual-teacher type" is for Taiwanese whose academic qualifications are relaxed to university and master's degrees, and who have a professional qualification certificate certified by an enterprise or Taiwan, in exchange for a relevant professional license in the mainland, and can also teach in a technical vocational school.

"This cross-strait technical and vocational education policy gives Taiwanese technical talents the opportunity to work in the mainland. Mr. Zhang further said that Taiwan's hairdressers, tour guides, physicians, accountants, and other professionals can really enter the mainland's technical vocational schools as teachers, teaching more young people professional knowledge and skills, in line with the mainland's regulations "dual-teacher teachers", that is, they have both teacher qualifications, as well as enterprise and vocational qualifications, but at least a university degree or above.

Speaking of development space, Mr. Zhang also shared that the mainland has been more than 30+ years old in the past, and when he grasped the later development opportunities, he had taken every certificate, in addition to his own forestry related licenses, there were also some other industry certificates. He said with a smile, "Take a little more certificate exams to give yourself the opportunity to make up for development." After more than 5 years of hard work, he has now become a university professor.

Mr. Zhang also suggested that it is very suitable for Taiwanese young people in their early 20s and 30s to come to the mainland to work hard, which is just the sprint age, because there is a large space for development, and it also meets the needs of mainland investment talents.

"If you want to come to the mainland to develop young people, you must think clearly. Teacher Zhang also bluntly said, "The same treatment in the mainland means that your treatment is exactly the same as that of the mainland, at most it is a little inclined to you, it does not mean that you can work unlimitedly." 」

At present, the mainland is moving towards an aging society, and talents in health care are also very scarce, so Professor Zhang himself studies fields related to health care, such as healing, forest health care bases, national parks, etc. In the future, it is not excluded that the key to combining industry with the natural environment, cooperating with enterprises to achieve the transformation of achievements, and applying them to the society can maximize the value of research results. He also suggested that technical people at all levels in Taiwan should really consider coming to the mainland for investigation first, and then decide to break into it again, so as to find more opportunities and stages for themselves.
