On the afternoon of January 2, the staff and volunteers of the Minghu community in Qiuai Town, Yinzhou District, transported the new cushions to the second phase of the Minghu Flower Garden, and put on "new clothes" on the public benches in the community before the arrival of a new wave of cold air.

"With the first experience, it's much faster this time. Volunteer Chen Suying said with a smile, "Taking advantage of the recovery, we quickly made all 32 cushions for the second phase of Minghu Flower Garden, and when it was cold, the residents could sit on the soft cushions and chat and bask in the sun." Aunt Chen Suying, who is also a resident of Minghu Garden Phase 2, claimed the two cushions of her building and was responsible for daily cleaning, maintenance and safekeeping.

It turned out that after the volunteers of the Minghu Community Colorful Weaving Gongfu Workshop on November 30, 2023, hand-sewed 80 cushions for the public benches of the first phase of the Minghu Garden, the public seats of the second phase of the Minghu Garden were also quickly arranged. Measuring size, setting materials, cutting and sewing, plugging sponges...... With the joint efforts of community staff and volunteers, this batch of cushions took half a month to complete.

The cushions for the public benches were made because when the Minghu Community Grid members visited the community, they found that the residents usually like to gather on the public benches on the overhead level of the community to chat, especially the elderly. As the weather got colder, the gridders came up with the idea of adding cushions to the benches.
