CCTV News: "Space business trip" for half a year, the three astronauts of Shenzhou 15 were very busy in orbit, completing 4 out-of-cabin activities, 8 human factors engineering technology research, 28 aerospace medical experiments, 38 space science experiments and experiments, and the long-term residence verification of the three-module state of the space station, successfully completed all the established tasks, and obtained valuable experimental data.

Out-of-cabin activities are a very important task for astronauts during their time in orbit. The three astronauts of Shenfteen worked closely together to complete four out-of-cabin activities from February 10 to April 15 this year, which not only completed the first out-of-cabin activity of astronauts after the full completion of the Chinese space station, but also set a new record for the out-of-cabin activities of a single crew of Chinese astronauts.

During the Shenzhou 15 crew in orbit, many scientific experiments and experiments were carried out, many of which were "firsts".

During the orbit, the Shenzhou 15 astronaut crew used the space station two-photon microscope independently developed by the mainland to carry out the on-orbit verification experimental mission and achieved success. This is the first known time in the world that two-photon microscopy is used to obtain three-dimensional images of the epidermis and superficial dermis of astronauts' skin during spaceflight, which provides a new tool for future astronaut health monitoring research in orbit.

During the orbit, the Shenzhou 15 astronaut crew also completed the on-orbit test of the space-efficient free-piston Stirling thermoelectric conversion test device. This is also the first time that the mainland has achieved on-orbit verification of this technology. Stirling thermoelectric conversion is one of the key technologies of space new energy, which can efficiently convert thermal energy into electrical energy, and has the advantages of simple structure, light weight and fast start-up, which can reduce the dependence on traditional solar energy, and has broad application prospects in future manned lunar and deep space exploration and other space missions.

In March this year, with the cooperation of ground researchers and astronauts, the experimental system in the combustion science cabinet of Mengtian cabin successfully performed the first in-orbit ignition test. The ignition experiment uses methane as fuel, and the high-speed camera clearly captures the entire ignition and combustion process. This experiment verifies the completeness of the function of the combustion science experiment system of the space station, as well as the accuracy and scientificity of the overall experimental process.

In May this year, the three astronauts also realized the first on-orbit observation of the conductive ring grinding debris generation process and cluster phenomenon, which laid a good foundation for the subsequent improvement of the design of space conductive ring products of various spacecraft and ensuring the reliable and stable operation of spacecraft in orbit.
