Abstract: With the increasingly severe aging problem in mainland China, the pension problem has become the focus of people's attention. According to the report, 71% of respondents are willing to participate in the individual pension system, with retired respondents and self-employed people being more willing to participate. At the same time, problems such as empty accounts and difficulties in absorbing funds have also been revealed.

The report shows that there is still more room for the publicity of the current individual pension system. About 40% of respondents have only heard of the individual pension system, but not about it. Among flexible workers, the level of understanding of the system is relatively high. Therefore, it is quite necessary to strengthen the publicity of individual pensions. In addition, nearly one-third of respondents are reluctant to participate in personal pensions because they do not have spare money for additional savings, and nearly one-third of respondents are because of strict conditions and long locking time in personal pension accounts. This requires more attention to the needs of people's livelihood when designing individual pension policies to meet the preferences and needs of the public as much as possible.

At the same time, the report believes that insurance products have the dual characteristics of robustness and flexibility, which can provide a guarantee for the accumulation of pension wealth for the public. Insurance institutions can also rely on their advantages in data accumulation, customer portraits, actuarial technology, etc., to help the public build a pension wealth reserve plan that meets the needs of their own and family throughout the life cycle, and effectively resist the longevity risk in the pension stage after retirement. In addition, insurance institutions can also provide old-age health services to meet the actual needs of the elderly in the era of longevity.
