Teach you to choose wine easily.
Do you always struggle with not knowing what wine tastes good when buying wine, and finally have to buy a bottle of wine with a good label? In fact, many people have encountered such a problem, buying wine is not a very easy thing, but the good news is that as long as you learn some basic wine knowledge, you can easily buy wine.
First, learn the four most basic words to describe the structure of wine. To describe the structure of a wine, you only need to start with four basic aspects: fruitiness, acidity, oak and tannins. Fruitiness describes the aroma and taste of fruit in wine, and acidity is the irritation felt on both sides and below your tongue.
Oak is the buttery or roasty flavor of wine aged in oak barrels, and the tannins make your teeth and cheeks feel tight, similar to the taste of chewing grape skins.
Second, determine your own taste type. Everyone has a different degree of preference for different flavors, so everyone's texture type is different. In order to determine your own taste type, you can go to the store and buy three completely different wines to try.
For example, if you like white wine, you can choose Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, and red wine lovers can choose Chianti Merlot and Pinot Noir. Then create a table listing the four words that describe the structure of the wine, and then rate each wine on a scale of 1-10 for the four aspects. Once the form is complete, you can determine how much you like each item.
Third, learn basic vocabulary to describe flavor. Lemon, chocolate, earthy, raspberry, cherry, these are all words that sommeliers often use to describe flavor. Search online for "basic terms of wine flavors" to get a list, and if you like some of the flavors, you'll also like wines with those flavors.
4. Learn about famous wine critics. Wine Spectator, magazines, Robert Parker and wine lovers. Wine Enthusiast magazine, these are authoritative wine rating agencies or individuals, their 100-point rating system can help you buy wine, and the wines that get 90 points and above every year are the best 15% of the year.
