SAIC-GM-Wuling recently launched its first pure electric SUV, the Baojun Yep. The new model made its world premiere at the Shanghai Motor Show in April and went on sale on May 25. The price starts at CNY 79,800 and the highest price is CNY 89,800.
In terms of appearance, Baojun Yep chooses a square appearance aesthetic with sharp angles. The front and rear bumpers, fender and side skirts are all black, making them simple and stylish. The front face does not have a traditional grille, making a pair of LED headlights stand out. The most noticeable aspect of the body design is the small screen on the tailgate, which can be used to display information to other drivers.
The vehicle adopts a four-seater, three-door design, with a length, width and height of 3381/1685/1721/2110mm, and the length is even about 240mm shorter than that of the Suzuki Jimny. It weighs only 1,006kg.
Inside, the standard features include a pair of 10.25-inch displays as digital instrument cluster and infotainment screens, which is quite intimate for such a small model. The interior is compact and the rear seats fold up, giving this SUV an immediate 715-liter trunk.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a battery with a capacity of 28.1kWh and a cruising range of 303km under CLTC conditions. The maximum speed is 100 km/h).
Such a cute SUV, as a female owner, I am also quite excited!
