A Chinese couple,
beating, abusing, enslaved others for nearly a year,
Now finally arrested!
This weekend is a long weekend in the United States, everyone is on vacation, but the Melbourne Chinese circle on the other side of the ocean is not very peaceful, it turns out that the Australian media reported a news of the enslavement and abuse of others by a Melbourne Chinese couple, which instantly exploded public opinion.
In October 2022, a Melbourne medical facility received an injured woman, who appeared to have been beaten and abused for a long time and was very weak.
It is reported that the nanny is holding a LINA visa in Australia, and she has been imprisoned by the so-called employer for 10 months, not only being enslaved every day to do various jobs, but also being verbally abused and beaten, and her living conditions are very worrying.
Believing that the case may have implicated human trafficking, the medical facility subsequently called the police and the AFP launched an investigation.
Soon after, police raided their home.

The case is now set to go to trial on June 19, and the crime of slavery carries a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison.
Neither nannies nor domestic workers should be abused, and a similar case occurred in the United States in 2016.
Huang Lili, a Chinese woman in Minnesota, is a native of Shanghai from a well-to-do family, has several properties in Shanghai and graduated from a prestigious school.
Huang Lili and her husband had savings after working hard in China for a few years, so they had the idea of immigrating to the United States, so they worked hard to get a green card in the United States and buy a house in Minnesota, and then she brought Han Guoling, a nanny who used to be in China, to the United States on a tourist visa.
It is reported that in order to let Han come to the United States at that time, she also promised to let Han's son study in the United States in the future.
But when I arrived in the United States, everything changed.
In the United States, Han Guoling not only did not have enough to eat every day, but also worked eighteen hours a day, and if she wanted to eat, she had to kneel on the ground like a dog and pray for Huang Lili's alms. You also have to lie on the ground to learn how the dog barks and learn how to crawl before you get a little food from Huang Lili.
Huang Lili also hid Han De's passport, and when she was slightly unsatisfactory, she punched and kicked Han Guoling, using Han Guoling as a modern "slave"!
The victim did not sign any contract with her employer, who in anger began grabbing her hair and banging her head on tables and other objects. After she fell to the ground, he continued to beat her and kick her in the ribs. Around 10 July, her employer beat her unable to stand and she was forced to crawl around the house like a dog for up to four hours with her hands and knees.
Later, another time Huang Lili took a knife and threatened to kill Han Guoling, but was finally stopped by Huang Lili's father.
This finally made Han Guoling, who was resigned, choose to escape at midnight while the Huang family was asleep.
One day in July 2016, Han Guoling, 58 years old, covered in injuries and ragged clothes, staggered down the streets of the United States. Discovered by well-meaning Chinese and called the police.
After arriving at the police station, due to the language barrier, the police learned the story behind the poor old man through an interpreter.
This incident of enslavement of a nanny has also caused heated discussions in Chinese circles.
In 2017, the court handed down a verdict, and Huang Lili was sentenced to one year and one day in prison, and was deported to China after completing her sentence. At the same time, the judge also ordered the confiscation of his property and paid $123,000 in damages.
Huang Lili ended up paying the price for her actions, in modern society, everyone is equal. Chinese people must pay attention to protecting their own rights and interests and enhance their awareness of self-protection.
There will be black-hearted employers anywhere, overseas, they often because they control the passport, think that the victim cannot escape, and even sometimes intimidate the victim visa status issues, but we have zero tolerance for any psychological and physical abuse, everyone should dare to call the police when encountering problems, do not choose to bear it silently.
