Today (May 29), former producer of the SE "Dragon Quest" series, Ryutaro Ichimura, announced that he has received investment from NetEase and established a new game production studio "ピンクル" (Pincool).
The establishment of Pincool has attracted widespread attention and expectations. As an entertainment production company, Pincool brings together experienced professionals in the fields of games, graphics, live events, and character commerce. Utilizing the rich experience accumulated by Ryutaro Ichimura and his team, they will focus on the development of games for home use, and will work to realize the planning and production of various entertainment fields and provide high-quality entertainment experiences for users around the world.
Ichimura joined Enix in 2000 and has been active in game development ever since. With the establishment of Pincool, Ichimura Ryutaro will serve as CEO of the studio, leading the team on new creations and projects.
Pincool's board of directors also includes Takashi Ogura, who worked on Doraemon during EPOCK and was responsible for branding and marketing Dragon Quest at SE. Takashi Ogura's experience will bring valuable support and strategic guidance to Pincool.
