29 May is International Peacekeepers Day. In December 2022, China's 13th peacekeeping engineering detachment to South Sudan (Wau) was dispatched to South Sudan. At present, peacekeepers are busy on the front line of road construction, repairing supply lines, repairing airports, maintaining barracks, and providing humanitarian assistance.
So far, China has sent more than 50,000 peacekeepers to nearly 30 United Nations peacekeeping operations. Chinese peacekeepers have won praise from all walks of life with their practical actions, demonstrating their firm confidence in safeguarding world peace.
