Proud of you medallion
Gazania rigens, also known as the medallion flower, is native to South Africa and is a perennial herbaceous plant in the Asteraceae family, 15–40 cm tall. The leaves are lanceolate or inverted ovate-lanceolate, generally with white filamentous pubescence on the back, and some varieties have light-colored hairs on both sides of the leaves. The head-shaped inflorescence is solitary, with flowers 4–5 cm in size and colors including red, orange, yellow, pink, and white. Because its entire inflorescence resembles a medallion, it is called a medallion. Flowering occurs in late spring and early summer.
