Greater Paris are considering selling off the Portugal international, having been in a fierce battle with AC Milan last summer.

AC Milan saw Renato Sanches as the team's first target for midfield reinforcements in the transfer market last summer, and even agreed with his old club on the price of the transfer fee. It was only because of the intervention of Ligue 1 overlords Paris Saint-Germain that he promised a better salary package and took advantage of the deep friendship between club director Campos and him, which led to the signing of the 25-year-old Portugal international.

However, Sanches's situation at the Parc des Princes did not go as smoothly as expected. Due to fierce competition for positions and frequent injuries of his own, he has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season for only manager Galtier, starting only seven of them and contributing only two goals.

Neither the club management nor the players themselves were happy with the situation. According to French media reports, Renato Sanches, who has only joined Grand Paris for one year, has been on the management's purge list. If he receives an offer of around €15 million, he will most likely leave this summer to help free up space in the squad and salary.

It can be said that such a transfer transaction has created a situation where all parties are losers. First of all, AC Milan failed to get their first signing, and the team's midfield strength was not reasonably replenished after Kessie's departure; Secondly, Sanches did not have enough room to play in Greater Paris, could not make a breakthrough in the Champions League, did not have a bright performance himself, and even lost the qualification for the World Cup in Qatar; Moreover, Grand Paris did not get much improvement in the players, but became a burden on the squad.

If there is still a chance, it is not known whether Maldini and Marsala will choose to continue with Sanchez. Especially with Bennaser facing a long suspension, AC Milan's midfield position is facing huge staffing vacancies.
