On May 16, the 3rd China-Central and Eastern European Countries Expo and International Consumer Goods Expo opened in Ningbo, Zhejiang. The five-day expo used the new venue for the first time, with more than 400 overseas exhibitors participating, covering six categories and more than 5,000 exhibits, focusing on agricultural products, food and specialty consumer goods in Central and Eastern European countries.
With economic and trade activities as the main line, supplemented by science and technology, tourism, health and other fields, the expo arranges a total of 27 important activities, and the role of the platform is more prominent, with a total of 7 national institutional activities.
In terms of trade exhibitions, this year's expo has three exhibition areas: Central and Eastern Europe Exhibition, International Consumer Goods and Central and Eastern European Exhibition, with an exhibition area of 220,000 square meters, displaying goods and services from more than ten countries, as well as the results of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern Europe.
"This expo is expected to have more than 3,000 exhibitors, more than 10,000 professional buyers, more than 100,000 visitors, and more than 10 billion yuan in Central and Eastern European commodity purchase orders, providing more opportunities for enterprises in China and Central and Eastern European countries to 'bring in' and 'go out'." According to statistics, in the first four months of this year, the economy and trade between the mainland and Central and Eastern European countries ushered in a "good start". According to the latest data, the total import and export volume of mainland China and Central and Eastern European countries was 44.87 billion US dollars, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year. In terms of agricultural and food products, the mainland and Central and Eastern Europe imported and exported agricultural products of US$310 million and US$410 million, up by 43.1% and 28% respectively year-on-year.
