Walking into the blueberry farm, you will see the "Smurfs" under the Wizard of Oz, and the surface of the ripe blueberries is wrapped with a thin layer of fruit frost, revealing a faint blue-violet, which is very pleasing. Tourists leisurely strolled around the park with small baskets and happily picked the coveted "blue fruits". Some of them tasted while picking, some took photos or videos to share with friends, and there was laughter everywhere.
"Today I saw this blueberry farm open in the circle of friends, so I came to pick it with my family to experience the joy of picking, and I thought I was very happy today. This blueberry is good, sweet and big. Tourist Li Qiuqiu said.
Blueberries are known as the "queen of fruits", although they are small, their nutritional content is very high, and they are loved by consumers. According to Zhang Hanbing, the owner of the orchard, on the first day of the garden, the sales volume of picking in the garden was 100 to 200 jin. In addition, online orders have also almost exploded, with orders reaching about 200 jin, and Zhang Hanbing and workers are busy picking and supplying in the orchard all day.
"My blueberry farm is a total of 60 acres, and now there are 40 acres of hanging fruit, and our first batch of fruits is sold for 50 yuan per catty, and the estimated yield per mu is 300 to 400 catties." Zhang Hanbing, owner of a blueberry farm in Shewan Village, Meihua Town, Dao County, said.
Blueberries are mainly distributed in Northeast, Shandong and other cold climate areas, over the years, Zhang Hanbing combined with local geographical environmental conditions, repeated experiments, constantly eliminated blueberry varieties that do not adapt to the conditions, in the cultivation technology and soil improvement, solved the blueberry local climate, soil, environment and other unsuitable problems, successfully achieved the normal flowering and hanging fruit of blueberries in the south for 9 consecutive years.
"In our blueberry farm, we have a total of five varieties that are very suitable for southern cultivation, and we also cultivate blueberry seedlings, selling about 100,000 blueberry seedlings every year." Zhang Hanbing, owner of a blueberry farm in Shewan Village, Meihua Town, Dao County, said.
According to Zhang Hanbing, the current blueberry farm is ripe for the "emerald" variety, and the first-class fruit can be sold for 70 to 100 yuan / jin. In about 10 days, blueberry varieties such as larks, divas, and jewelry will also be on the market.
