Lemon catnip, a faint little purple flower, inadvertently attracted me, curiously took a few photos, and realized that it was a kind of mint.
Also known as cat ear grass, wattle mustard. It is a plant of the family Lamiaceae with a specific smell.
Catnip is a perennial herb that grows about 50 - 100 cm tall. The base is approximately quadrangular, with a blunt quadrangular apex, shallowly grooved, and covered with short pubescent white hairs.
The leaves are triangular heart-shaped with short yellow-green bristles above and whitish below. The corolla is white with purple spots. The fruit is grey-brown triangular ovoid in shape. The leaves have a nice lemon smell, which cats prefer to smell.
