Portuguese is currently the fifth (or sixth) most spoken in the world and is the ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡น official language of Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Sao Tome and Principe, ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท and Timor-Leste. This language is also spoken in Macau and Goa in India.

In countries such as Andorra, Luxembourg, Namibia, Switzerland and South Africa, Portuguese is also the basis of about 20 Creole languages and is an important minority language due to the large Portuguese communities in these countries.
