IT House news on May 3, according to the foreign technology media MacReports report, the number of drivers testing self-driving cars for Apple has recently been reduced by 56, and the total number of drivers currently employed is 145.

The report pointed out that since the summer of 2021, Apple has continued to expand the number of self-driving car drivers, from less than 80 to more than 200 in early 2023.

According to Apple's documents submitted to the California DMV, the number of people dropped from 201 at the beginning of this year to 145, a drop of more than 25%.

As for the number of cars registered for AV testing, it decreased from 67 in the previous one to 66 on April 28. Apple has yet to apply to DMVs for driverless AV testing like Waymo, Cruise and Nuro.
