On the morning of March 5, Beijing time, former Chinese women's volleyball team member Ma Yunwen released a video to introduce that her lover, former Chinese women's volleyball American physical fitness teacher Rett accidentally infected with the new crown some time ago, and has now ended the isolation to resume work.
As a gymnast, Rett came to Dallas last month with Ma Yunwen and his daughter Feng Feng to serve the inaugural U.S. Women's Volleyball Professional League, which opened here on Feb. 27. They stayed in a hotel, which housed the players, coaches, staff, etc.
Ma Yunwen introduced that soon after they arrived, Rett developed cold symptoms and had a bit of a cough. "It was snowing here, he didn't bring enough clothes, we all thought it was a cold, and we didn't think about the new crown at all."
On the morning of February 15, Rett found that he could not smell the smell, which made him suspicious, and as soon as the test found that it was indeed a new crown, he was immediately isolated. On the 16th, Ma Yunwen and her daughter did a test and found that they were lucky not to be infected. "I don't know what's going on because we're in close contact every day." Ma Yunwen said.
How Rett was infected with the new crown, Ma Yunwen did not know, but she said that she was not surprised. "The game was not closed, and some players also won the new crown. The hotel we stayed in was not only open to coaches and players, but to everyone, and as long as we left the room, we could meet strangers and not know what the situation was. People outside can come in and live, as long as they go out of the door, they may encounter strangers and have a high probability of being exposed to the virus. And regardless of the meal here, we have to cook our own food, we can only buy vegetables online, and the process of delivering vegetables is also risky. ”
After Rett was diagnosed, Ma Yunwen moved her and her daughter's things out, found another room, the family of three was isolated separately, and the father and daughter talked on video every day. However, Ma Yunwen introduced that as a close contact, her isolation is not strict, occasionally take the child to the hotel lobby to find a place with less people to play, if someone quickly returns to the room, you can also go to the road, but can not go to the hotel's crowded public areas.
"Remind everyone, still be aware that this virus is pervasive. I've been drinking vitamin C. Already so, we still have to face it positively, and hope that he will recover as soon as possible. Ma Yunwen said that on February 19 and 20, she underwent two more tests and found that she was really not infected.
On Feb. 25, after 10 days of isolation, Rett had no more symptoms and went to work. Ma Yunwen didn't quite understand this, "I think it should be tested, and the doctor said he didn't need to test anymore because there were antibodies." But I think he may not be well enough, what if it is transmitted to other people? I don't know if other Americans are infected like this, quarantine for 10 days and then return to work, and I don't know if this is science or big heart. ”
For the sake of her daughter's safety, Ma Yunwen still took her to isolation alone, and did not meet with Rett at that time. Now, more than a week has passed, I believe that the family has been reunited, and I wish them peace and well.
