The shape and mouth of the cheek are straight, no skew, the ends are full and not concave, the fins are symmetrical and complete, the body gloss is high, the body surface is abnormal (such as scales, blood, pectoral fin tailfin forked), whether there is a lying cylinder, whether swimming is flexible. If the koi is flexible and active, it means that the health of the koi is good. If the koi is not flexible, it is not a good koi do not choose.
Koi are generally plump and round, with a good figure. Such koi are relatively healthy, active in grabbing food, strong in resistance, and not easy to get sick. When actually selecting, you can focus on the mouth and tail tube, and the head is semi-oval from eye to mouth.
2, look at the color The reason why koi is attractive is its color, in addition to healthy body shape, you also have to look at the color. It is recommended to choose pure, thick and oily ones. If the color is impure and variegated, it is not a high-quality color. The color is thin, the color is very light, it is difficult to reflect its brightness. Such a color quality is very poor, and koi with this color quality are generally not healthy koi.
3. What are the colors of koi called? Red and white: There are red patches on a white background, red and white, clear and bright. Its white should be snow-white, and the red should be oily and bright red, more shiny. The distribution of erythema on the back of the body should be even and beautiful. It is required that the edge of the markings is neat, and the dividing line between erythema and white should be clear and clear, without transitional color, which is called "cutting edge".
There must be erythema on the head. Even if there are very found patterns on the torso, those who do not have red spots on their heads are called "monks" and have no ornamental value. The larger the erythema on the head, the better, but it should not be rendered to the eyes, jaw, cheeks, and mouth kisses, and the anterior part of the erythema should reach the nostril line, or at least the eyeliner.
The trunk pattern must be symmetrical from side to side, and there are large markings on the shoulders near the head, which is the focal point of the whole fish. The red spot between the head and the torso should be cut in white, not a monotonous straight pattern. There must also be an erythrospot near the tail, called a "tail knot". The tail knot is about 2cm from the tail is ideal, and it must not be stained to the tail. However, in the case of large carps, a tail knot may be allowed to be forward or without a tail knot. It should be balanced with head and tail, and left and right coordination is preferred.
Taisho tricolor: In the red and white appreciation points, the three colors should have lustrous blue background ink spots, and these ink spots are more superior in the white space distributed on the shoulders. There must be no dark spots on the head and no shoulders, which is the focus of the whole fish. Ink spots on a white background are called acupuncture ink, and ink spots on red spots are called overlapping ink. Acupuncture ink is preferred. A small number of sturdy lumpy black spots are evenly distributed on the white background, and the grade is higher. There should not be too many dark spots on the back half of the body. Two to three black stripes on the pectoral fins are ideal, and not too many black stripes. The red and black of the crimson plate and ink spots must be distinct and thick.
Showa Tricolor: Red and white spots on a black background. The crimson hue should be dark red, the ink spots should preferably be cut on the head, and the ink patterns on the torso must be lightning or triangular, thick and rolled to the abdomen. The pectoral fins should be rounded black and should not be completely white, black, or erythematous.
Redtop: Bright red or single-color markings in the center of the head. The shape of the plaque is round and "shoe draw" shape, and the front and back are the top grade. The body should be white and free of variety.
Gold and silver scales: gold or silver scales all over the body with multiple reflective surfaces on the scales, shining, as if inlaid with diamonds, called "gold and silver scales".
Writing carp: It is one of the thirteen classes of koi, and it is rebred through the Showa tricolor. The body color is based on black, with triangular white or yellow or red markings. Due to the large contrast in body color, it has captivated many enthusiasts because of its brightness and boldness, and it is also a particularly popular genre among players except for the "Gosanka" (red and white, Taisho tricolor, and Showa tricolor).
Qiu Cui: This breed is a hybrid strain with a tightly arranged scale on the back of the fish, one to the tail of the fish, a row of scales on the lateral line of the abdomen, and no scales elsewhere. The cobalt blue on the back and the red pattern on the lower abdomen are a treasure of the light yellow koi. The variant of the autumn koi is called "Crimson Autumn Cui", and its back has various crimson patterns, which are more valuable.
