1. ACCORDING TO THE REPUBLIC OF THE Congo circular number n°151 / CCC/DG issued on 15/04/2004, from now on all goods destined for or transiting in the Republic of the Congo Pointe Noire must apply for an ECTN certificate at the official agent at the port of shipment The port of NOIRE resulted in the impossibility of normal customs clearance and the acceptance of fines.
ECTN IS THE ABBREVIATION OF ELECTRONIC CARGO TRACKING NOTE, ALSO KNOWN AS EBSC IN FRENCH, AND THE CERTIFICATE DISPLAY NUMBER NAME IS URN NO. Refers to the Electronic Cargo Tracking Report. Failure to apply for this ECTN will be considered a violation of all regulations for shipments to the Democratic Republic of Congo and will be severely punished at the port of destination. Failure to do so may result in the shipping company at the port of departure being unable to issue a bill of lading or the consignee at the port of destination being unable to clear customs. One bill of lading corresponds to one ECTN, and the information of the ECTN must match the bill of lading.
Note:
**ECTN certificate must be issued before the shipping company issues the original sea bill of lading, ECTN normally issues the original ECTN within 5 working days after the ship starts, and there will be a penalty if the deadline is overdue.
**The original ECTN certificate (PDF format) after the approval takes effect will be emailed to the applicant, who will forward the original certificate to the consignee at the port of destination, the shipping company, etc.
2. The following information is required to apply for the ECTN in Congo:
1. ECTN APPLICATION FORM APPLICATION FORM;
2. DRAFT B/L COPY;
3. Scanned copy of stamped commercial invoice (Commercial Invoice);
4. Scanned copy of the stamped packing list (Packing list);
5. Freight delcaration;
3. Handling process
Simple flowchart
1. After the cargo is carried, please fill in the application form, together with the copy (draft) of the bill of lading, the scanned copy of the stamped packing list, and the stamped commercial issue
A scanned copy of the ticket will be sent to our operating colleagues by email.
2. Our operation colleagues will issue an expense slip to your company according to the application form to arrange payment.
3. After your company pays and scans the water bill to our company, our company will make ECTN herbs for your company to check according to the information provided by your company. Your company must check carefully and reply to us by email for confirmation.
4. After your company confirms the ECTN herb, our company will send the ECTN herb to the authorities for approval and issue the original.
5. The original ECTN (PDF format) will be sent to your company by email, your company needs to print it out or forward it to the consignee at the port of unloading, freight forwarder or shipping company, etc., the corresponding ECTN number on the original ECTN number is displayed on the original certificate.
